It's Always Spring Break Somewhere In The Galaxy [Formato Kindle]

Raven McCracken's book, It's Always Spring Break Somewhere in the Galaxy, was AWESOME! I brought it with me on my vacation to the ocean and COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! The characters are fantastic and well developed, you feel as though you are actually there with them as they adventure through the universe. The way he explains the bands' dynamics is brilliant and being a musician myself I appreciate the honesty of the scenarios ( well as honest as they can be while playing on different worlds!)
His descriptions are colourful, rich and detailed, and the explanations of the scientific pieces of the book are intelligent and easily comprehended. I LOVED this book and I am anxiously awaiting more adventures of the Misplaced as they continue to spread the power of ROCK throughout the galaxy!

Part satire, part hard SF, part "on the road" story, this short novel is a fairly pleasing read.
It is quite confusing in its first part due to a very clumsy use of flashbacks but as soon as the storyline straightens up confusions leaves the place to a nice humour.
Plot requires quite a lot of suspension of disbelief but, that accepted, is tight and has a good rhythm.

Unless I have been reading a revised edition I do not understand why other reviewers complain about its supposed sexual content. Sex is mentioned and one of the leads is a lesbian girl therefore gay sex is also mentioned, but there is absolutely nothing graphic anywhere.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters are fun and the story is entertaining. I smiled the whole time reading it. It is not "great literature" but it does not try to be. He has written several other books etc and now I will have to go read them too. My thoughts upon finishing the book were "where is book 2" and "I want to see the graphic novel". Well done!
