Although creating these models requires the use of statistics, Jank does a good job of making the subject understandable to the layman. He resists excess use of jargon, and I found the book easy to read. This does not in the least mean that the book is a fluff piece. It is easy to follow, but it walks through a statistical minefield, and so must be read closely.
My only critique is that a little more eye candy would probably make the book appeal to a larger audience.
