Sinossi

Extracts from Erin Pizzey's Foreword: ‘Mike Buchanan is a very brave man. I've known other men who've tried to draw the public's attention to the damage done by the radical feminist movement. Many lost their jobs and none of them were able to find a publisher for their books. Men have been thrown out of their own houses and unjustly accused of domestic violence towards their partners, and some of sexually abusing their children. The legitimate interests of men in Western society are being systematically assaulted by radical feminists and this book goes a long way to providing the evidence.

Men are starting to campaign more effectively for their interests, though they have a long way to go before they halt the tide of radical feminist influence, let alone start to reverse it. Feminists can also expect more challenging from another quarter. An increasing number of women are summoning up the courage to openly criticise them. This shouldn't surprise us, given that the vast majority of women don't share the radical feminists' political ideology.

With every year that passes more women become aware of the damage man-hating and family-hating radical feminists wreak on society in general, and women's interests in particular. These women are becoming more vocal, and their number is on the rise... How much more damage will feminists be allowed to wreak before they're more widely recognised as the evil women they are?'

This book provides long-awaited answers to over 50 of the most challenging questions in the modern era including: 1. Are you a misogynist if you only hate feminists? 2. What is feminism in the modern era? 3. How do radical feminists view the world? 4. Are feminists less intelligent than normal women? 5. Are feminists less attractive than normal women? 6. Do feminists suffer from PPS (Permanent Premenstrual Syndrome)? 7. Why do feminists deny the different natures of men and women? 8. Why must taxpayers stop financing Women's Studies and Gender Studies courses? 9. What are the big fat feminist fantasies, lies, delusions and myths? 10. Are feminists delusional? Is the pope a Catholic? Do bears crap in woods? 11. How are feminists killing men and women? 12. Are some feminists (e.g. Tracey Emin) a pain in the arts? The book contains an appendix of quotations and ends with a sample chapter titled ‘Would you like to have sex with my wife?' from Mike Buchanan's international bestseller ‘Two Men in a Car (a businessman, a chauffeur, and their holidays in France)'. It also contains the plate section from the book (16 photographs).

5.0 su 5 stelle smascherando il femminismo 24 aprile 2012
Formato:Formato Kindle|Acquisto verificato Amazon
In inglese soltanto.

Bravo Mike.

5.0 su 5 stelle Truth about Feminism and the State in plain language! 9 marzo 2013
Di phil - Pubblicato su Amazon.com
Formato:Formato Kindle
Not exactly being a novice to this topic I was curious on how Mike would tackle the hydra that is modern feminism. Thankfully I was very pleasantly surprised to find that he doesn't sidetrack the reader too much with what feminists say they are about (believe me the language can get extremely dense and obfuscatory!) but concentrates more on what they have done and intend to do.
The mainstream media does a very good job overall in putting a spin on many feminist activities and feminist inspired policies. Mike strips away the veneer of that spin and does so using plain language that doesn't require a degree in Humanities or womens studies in order to understand him.
That however, doesn't mean Mike Buchanan is a "lightweight" far from it, his skill is more akin to a Richard Feynman lecture ie someone who actually KNOWS a convoluted and complex subject yet can distill its essentials and put it into everyday language that all can understand.
The book is also extremely relevant to a relative newcomer to these issues as he shares his erudition on the topic generously with the reader. Many other related works are quoted and in some cases to the extent of an entire chapter where it is relevant to the topic of the text.
In short just reading this book alone will give the reader a very good grasp of feminism, it's entanglement in most if not all of our establishments, government and institutions most specifically in the UK but also a pretty good overview of the international dimension also.

5.0 su 5 stelle A Real Eye Opener 21 febbraio 2012
Di Jeff d - Pubblicato su Amazon.com
Formato:Formato Kindle
As someone who enjoyed Mike Buchanan's previous books about feminism - The Glass Ceiling Delusion in particular - I was at first disappointed to see this book only launching in an ebook edition. But a friend told me about free-to-download `Kindle for PC' software so I managed to download this Feminism: The Ugly Truth book in no time.

The author's surpassed himself with this title. Nothing seems to evade his critical attention: he covers the central importance of misandry (the hatred of men), the disproportionate influence of men-hating lesbian feminists, the different natures of gender-typical men and women, the assault on all men and the majority of women and all children, the assaults on many fields (academia, the legal system, government, the media... the list is a long one.)

The pursuit of radical feminist agendas by a Conservative-led coalition both merits and attracts attention, David Cameron being shown to have pro-feminist instincts in gender-related matters, as demonstrated by his firm support for quotas to deliver `gender balance in the boardroom' rather than on merit The writer uses extracts from other books but only where they're particularly relevant to the topic he's covering.

The book ends with the plate section and a sample chapter from the writer's highly-rated French travelogue Two Men in a Car which I note has 17 reviews on www.amazon.co.uk, all 5-starred. This makes for a welcome, interesting, and humorous counterpoint to the preceding book. That's not to say the preceding book doesn't have its share of humour, because it does, as we might expect with chapter titles such as `Are some feminists (e.g. Tracey Emin) a pain in the arts?'

It's a cliché, but this really is a `must-read' book for anyone interested in the subject of feminism in the modern era as it really is an eye opener....frightening but an eye opener nonetheless. I do hope that Mr Buchanan gets the opportunity to write an article in national papers and magazines summarising the damage that's been done and continues to be done to men, women and children by a small group of people with a narrow agenda wholly dedicated to destroying a civil, democratic, and fair society.

5.0 su 5 stelle unmasking feminism 24 aprile 2012
Di fabrizio - Pubblicato su Amazon.com
Formato:Formato Kindle
Unmasking feminism, may be an alternative title.
Really love it, love the humor and the insights it provides on how politicians exploits feminism sacrificing on the consensus altar the principles of meritocracy, business productivity and family cohesion.

A must read, especially for young boys and girls looking for a clear understanding on how feminism is undermining the foundation of UK society.

Being a leftist (in my country) I can only acknowledge that Mike has a point.
