This book is utter rubbish! I would give it 0 stars, but then you would think I forgot to rate it. Even 0 stars would be too much. This book serves as a reason for Amazon to provide a minus rating; how about -5 stars for this one? It's full of misspellings & grammatical errors, and is no help at all for anyone on the subject it claims to be written for, Android 4.0. It's really the worst book I've ever gotten from Amazon (or anywhere else, for that matter). Don't waste even one single penny on this trash. Makes me wonder how the publisher got Amazon to agree to carry it.

A quick, easy, and practical introduction to "Android 4" (Ice Cream Sandwich) for any smartphone using this OS. I'm an Android tablet user, and would have liked more information aimed at tablet users. Especially the email software, ie... creating or transposing your "address book" to the tablet mail system. And additonal tricks such as moving data from a USB drive to the SD card, etc... In fairness, the book does seem to cover the OS for the smarphone user!

This book along with a couple classes at Verizon, which they give for free, will give a new person a great background in learning what Android is all about. Whether you are using a tablet or phone and whether you are new at this or seasoned it will still fill in many of the blanks for this operating system.
