I like this book. I have read a lot of diet books in my life. I own an impressive amount of cookbooks, some of them "diet" ones. Of them all, for me, this one makes the most sense. I am not French nor have I been to France. Given that, I will not comment on whether or not what is said about France or French women is true. I am an American and much of what was said about us, in my opinion, is sadly true. The author gives solid advice that in reality you probably know. She also refers to this in the book. I don't know why but sometimes you just need to be told, or to read it, to get the message. The fact that she writes like a friend talking to you, I think helps you digest the message. It's an easy, fast read. I started it planning to just glance through and read later. I ended up reading it straight through, highlighting and bookmarking as I read. It is a book I would recommend to friends and family. I read it on a KFire. It looked good on it.
