Giant Monster Rampage is a turn based combat game for two or more players. The game takes place in a world where colossal creatures roam the planet, seeking to destroy each other and anything unfortunate enough to be in their way. The game allows players to create and control one of several different types of monsters, from mutant animals, to alien robots, and everything in-between. Giant Monster Rampage gives players complete control over the creation of their monster. Players can create an existing monster from a popular media source or one from their own imagination. The possibilities are endless. The object of the game is to cause as much damage and destruction as possible while taking on any monsters foolish enough to oppose you. Giant Monster Rampage is a standalone game that can also be used as an expansion for any other Toy Battle System™ game.

Much like "D&D" established the measuring stick for fantasy roleplaying, "GMR" has set the standard for the often-overlooked world of tabletop warfare games. Now into what I believe is its 3rd Edition, GMR is perfect for any wargamer, or even giant monster figure collector, you may know. The rules are somewhat daunting at first (common for many tabletop wargames). But, after a city thrashing or 2, you'll find they are easy to get used to. Nearly every aspect of giant monsters is covered in this book. From their unique powers, to handling almost every aspect of monster combat, can be easily found in the book.

Is the game flawless? No, that it is not. It requires 10-sided dice to play, which are a tad harder to find than normal 6-sided dice. You'll also need some playing space, as the game operates in a "3D" aspect (meaning it will actually take up space). Also, being in its 3rd Edition, it has a bit of a steep learning curve. But, these aren't things that should keep you from giving it a try. Once you get around these factors, the game is extremely fun to play.

I would recommend GMR to play, if anything else, for the giant monster fan you might know. And, with the new "Godzilla" movie in theaters, GMR is the perfect alternative for using the action figures! Hands down, GMR is a lot of fun, and has an active support community for it.

This game is tons of fun. You can play with any toys or figures laying around. The point-based creation system is detailed enough to ensure lots of variation in the games, but not so crunchy that it takes more than 15 minutes to make a monster or giant robot. It's great for kids, too, because it can be very simple by not using the advanced rules.
