Music of the Spheres (The Interstellar Age Book 2)

The technology for interstellar flight
exists through the power of Kinemet,
but the key to unlocking its code lies
in a thousand-year-old scroll
left on Earth by an alien species.

When the ancient manual is stolen
before a full translation is completed,
Alex, Michael and Justine scramble to recover it.

Along the way, they stumble
on an interplanetary conspiracy and
uncover a secret that shatters their view of life
and shakes the very foundations
of our existence.

Many times, people decide to only buy a novel from a well known author; however, in this case, Valmore Daniels should be known as well if not more than some of the most known authors such as Robert Jordan. This is an entirely different kind of story, so keep that in mind. Mr. Daniels has written a very informative and adventurous book with Sci-Fi as the backbone of the story. While I normally do not like to keep hanging from a cliffhanger, Mr. Daniels does it very well. The book from the beginning to the end has what I believe to be a perfect pace. There is enough adventure, mystery, and Sci-Fi for anyone. I enjoyed the first book of the series, and I enjoyed this one even more. Do yourself a favor and read this book, you will not regret it.

A great read!

I really enjoyed reading this book along with the 1st book of the series. They are well written and it was really hard to stop reading when I had to. It left me wanting more, big time.

5.0 su 5 stelle Epic, well-written, awesome overall read! 11 marzo 2012

I absolutely LOVED Forbidden the Stars. I was waiting anxiously for the sequel. Daniels has outdone himself with this book. I stayed up until 1 AM one night reading, and had to force myself to put it down. It was easy to love the protagonists. I was reading every time possible, and was sad when I finished it because of how attatched to the thing I hadn`t realized I was. The ending has left me hungry for a sequel. Overall, this is one of my favorite books ever.

I have become a big fan of e-published authors since I bought my first Kindle several years ago. I really enjoy seeing the stories that people have been able to publish this way. The intersteller age is a wonderful perspective on our history and provides an imaginative theory of where we came from.

I was given a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Unlike the first one, I didn't have an ebook version to read along with - so it made the book seem so long. The story itself was pretty interesting. Especially when it was focusing on Justine Turner - her storyline was my favorite. It's just that I really disliked the narrator, Dave Wright. He is not good at accents, and there are a hell of a lot of them in this book. There's a German accent he did, I turned it up loud enough for my husband to hear it one night. He actually looked like her was going to cry.

I am not willing to continue this series via the audiobook. Also, the blasted noise that plays at the beginning of chapters... I don't know what evil I've done in my life to deserve having to listen to that sound.

As for the story itself, I did enjoy it. It was a little over the place with the different characters, but it wasn't too hard to keep up with. I do recommend reading the series, but not listening to the audiobook version.

2 platypires for the narration / 4 platypires for the story
