What do you expect for only $15.00? I ordered it with no clue as to what I might expect. I was going to order a 2nd one as a present for my brother if it turned out to be good. He is very picky. He called me the day before I received my copy to tell me about his copy of this wonderful little volume that he had just finished reading. It's a shame it isn't larger format to let me enjoy the fine quality and many never before seen images. They do skimp on some details, and ...of course.. don't give Mark Donohoe the credit he should have for helping develop the 917 Can Am cars, but at least they mentioned him. In the past the Factory has pretty much ignored the Penske/Donohue team , as it upsets the concept of their know-all engineers. Back to this book. If you want the absolute best Porsche TURBO history book you will have to buy the other Factory large format $$ books. None are complete so you need them all. :-> You might be able to bypass them by getting a copy of the Excellence Was Expected [set of 3], and have a great overall presentation of the company and their cars w/o the Factory PR stuff and with a lot of insight you won't see elsewhere. I have one of the rare 930s with the optional Turbo stripe kit. Until I saw this book I had never seen, nor even heard of, anything other than black or white stripes. If you want to better understand this comment.. well, you gotta get the book!
This book is good enough that I will now buy the other new, matching format, Porsche Museum books. These will make a nice set.
