Sinossi

Is the American dream really dead? What really makes the different between a “have” and a “have not”? In Progressivism: Our Road to Serfdom, authors Zester and Marilyn Hatfield examine these questions and others in light of the historic realities of who we are, where we have come from, and where we are going in relation to wages, job security, full employment, personal wealth accumulation, and personal freedoms. The Hatfields discuss the causes and history behind the current failing economy and present a step-by-step understanding of how to rebuild our God-given capitalist foundations with greater success. It takes a candid look at how new wealth is created by current and advancing technologies. Moreover, it reveals the secrets and the inner workings of progressive socialism—the political and ideological barrier that stands between those who love America and the republic's limited form of government. Progressivism: Our Road to Serfdom presents a fascinating story of how wealth is created and its effect on all Americans-wage earners, small business owners, and equity owners both large and small. It demonstrates how the Constitution gives all Americans the unalienable right to prosper from their own labor and capital possessions.

4.0 su 5 stelle Good theory, but childish writing style 20 giugno 2013
Di John H. McDowell - Pubblicato su Amazon.com
Formato:Formato Kindle|Acquisto verificato
An interesting theory on how we can move from Socialism to a free market economy. However, the use of exclamation points in each and every paragraph makes me wonder about the writing style. Also, spirituality should play no part in economic policy, contrary to one of the elements of the authors' thesis.

The first thing we know is that government can protect us from foreign enemies and provide important infrastructures. The second thing we know is that government cannot make us wealthy, take away all risk from life, or create one new economically-productive job. "e;

No credit or attention was given for either personal initiative, or spiritual inspiration with the imagination required to conceive, plan, and develop an idea. It is as if these intangible factors did not exist in the wealth-creating process. "e;
