How to Not Ruin Your Life While in Middle or High School....Keeping Out of Harm's Way was created from both my regular teaching and substitute teaching when I became aware that preteens and teens had either little information or no information on topics they would be making decisions about in the near future: internet safety, gangs and violence, police, drugs and alcohol, bullying, abusive relationships, negative and positive peer pressure, positive choices, the law and when to seek help. This is a short "easy to read" 36 pages for students to read on their own, for parents, and as a teaching guide and discussion tool for teachers. As students reviewing this lesson have said " all young people need to read this". Hope it will keep many out of harm's way.

This booklet is just full of common sense advice and suggestions, that should be required reading for every new teacher entering the classroom. Parents should also buy this book to help them in guiding their young teen-agers thru troubled waters. A must-read for dedicated parents and teachers.
