A friend loaned me the original 8 Hour Diet book. It's a good book, but as a busy mom its way more book than I have time to read.
The 8 Hour Diet Summary gave me everything I needed to get started. All the science behind it, even testimonials which are very encouraging. I have been averaging a half pound weight loss PER DAY. Unlike most diets when I feel very restricted because I can't eat this or can't eat that, (which makes me want to eat it all the more!), the 8 Hour Diet is FREEING! It's not about WHAT you eat, but WHEN you eat. I highly recommend this book if you want to begin losing weight starting now!

This is a new idea for me. You can eat a lot, but have to ALSO fast to allow your insulin levels to drop, your HGT level to rise, and to burn some fat once the glycogen in the muscles and liver is used up.
However, this book also has some layman misconceptions about how to lose weight. I got a better idea of the science behind this method by reading "The Fast Diet" by Dr. Michael Mosley and Mimi Spencer which had no inaccuracies in describing the science. Read the Mosley book first.

I recommend all of you who are interested in 8 hour diet to read the real book. This book is too short and lacks a lot of good explanation about how 8 hour diet works and its benefits. Moreover, I love to read the reviews in the real book more so that I can get more motivation.
Nearly 5 $ for this summary is a waste of your money. Go get the real book in Kindle for only near 12 $.

It was okay - gave me some good things to think about when diet planning. I think the idea of giving the body plenty of time to rest after eating is good.

the authors do a nice job of summarizing a much longer book. the writing style is not as snappy as you might get with the original author but if you're looking for a summary of the main ideas (more than just an overview, this summary actually reviews each chapter's content), this is a good option.
