Abused and bullied by her alcoholic husband (Tim Roth), Kathy (Andie MacDowell) sheds no tears when she is told he has been killed in a car crash. Free at last from years of tyranny, she slowly begins to rebuild her life. But her dreams of putting the past behind her are shattered when night after night Kathy is tormented by anonymous phone calls and haunted by flashbacks. It is as if, even from beyond the grave, her husband has a terrible hold over her. With the chain of bizarre and terrifying events threatening to destroy her sanity, Kathy finally realises the only way to overcome her demons is to confront them.
Sinossi
Kathy (Andie McDowell) giovane e attraente moglie di Jeremy (Tim Roth) perde il marito violento e alcolista durante un incidente stradale in circostanze misteriose: dopo questa tragedia fatti strani e inquietanti iniziano ad accadere. Rimasta sola con tre figli da accudire, Kathy cerca disperatamente di ricostruirsi una vita: ma il fantasma del marito farà di tutto per impedirglielo.
