This songwriter from Tennessee knows what he's talking about. He wrote the song "Ladies Love Outlaws"!! Wow! And that's just one of several. You should read this little book. It's poetry in motion!
5.0 su 5 stelle Truth 23 giugno 2015

This "little book" contains musings, stories and pure poetry by one of the world's most genuine although sadly underrated writers and artists. Some of the pieces in this booklet are stories culled from his real life experience as a struggling working musician, others resemble lyrics of his songs. Lee Clayton released just a handful of albums during the last forty years or so. From his eponymous country debut which contained the hit single "Ladies Love Outlaws" to the hauntingly beautiful and outstanding classics "Border Affair" and "Naked Child" (both of which resemble masterful examples of storytelling and songwriting) or with later gems like "The Dream Goes On" and "The Spirit of Twilight" (some songs of which were obviously re-recorded in 2010 and released as a digital album under the title of "We The People") - when listening to Lee's music, sometimes his heartfelt and honest words make you feel like you are hearing the clear voice of god.

Without doubt Lee Clayton has been for all my life one of my greatest teachers and a constant source of inspiration, even though we've never met in person.

And if the value of books was to be determined by the number of pages, this one should be considerably thicker.

Thank you for sharing truth, Lee.

I had the pleasure of touring with Lee in the early nineties. Lee is the real deal. I'd love to know where he is these days.
