I'm a long-time fan of Marion Chesney/M.C. Beaton... Such an engaging, entertaining writer - and someone who might not otherwise be a reader of romance novels will be hooked by her talent with character descriptions and dialogue. Apparently, many of her earlier out-of-print novels are being republished for Kindle - and it's a little like Christmas! "The Westerby Inheritance" was originally published in 1982 - and it ends with much of the plot unresolved... so let's hope that Amazon will soon offer the sequel, "The Westerby Sisters" so that I can wrap up this terrific romp through mid-18th century London society. This novel is delightful - start to finish - and I believe ranks among the best of Marion Chesney's period romances. (It's also a bit longer than some in her other series; another bonus!) 4 stars only because it's a Part 1 of 2 and the sequel isn't available yet!
