4.0 su 5 stelle An original & refreshing take on a classic fairy tale 27 giugno 2012
Di Natasha Deen - Pubblicato su Amazon.com
Formato:Formato Kindle
I'm not finished this book yet, but had to drop in a review. The Wronged Princess is probably one of the most charming adaptations for Cinderella that I've seen.

I know I should like the hero & heroine best, but I have to say my favorite characters are the queen & fairy godmother. The interaction between the two is hilarious, not to mention the sly humor that is sprinkled throughout the book...Not to say that Cinderella & Prince Charming aren't great characters--it's a delicious treat to see them tossed into circumstances beyond their control (& funny, too!), and I like their character arc/growth. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but this book is definitely worth reading--I think readers will enjoy Wheeler's interpretation of the stepsisters & the family dynamic.

The Wronged Princess is a perfect read for a lazy afternoon full of tea & cookies, and laying about in your pjs.

5.0 su 5 stelle The Wronged Princess 3 maggio 2012

The Wronged Princess brings a fresh approach to the classic Cinderella story. The author, Kae Elle Wheeler, ups the ante for the hero by having the lost shoe fit more than one person and creates trouble for Cinderella when one of the evil step-sisters finds a magic wand. Wheeler is a master at weaving the hopes and dreams of the evil step-sisters into characters we can relate to and care about while still cheering for the heroine to win her Prince Charming. The Wronged Princess is a tale about forgiveness, forging new friendships and the quest for true love. Kae Elle Wheeler renews our faith in the bond between sisters. The Wronged Princess is a fun and an enchanting read. I'm looking forward to the next books in the series.

I could not finish this book, and believe me I tried!! The book keeps switching one of the stepsister's names. It was distracting and took away from the story.

I was also somewhat offended that Cinderella would be interested in marrying this prince. Personally, I questioned Cinderella's intelligence even more than his.

I was intrigued with the concept of this book. It sounded like a good read. There was no flow because of all the grammatical errors! I hate to complain about any book because the authors put so much into them, but seriously? It was so hard to concentrate on the story. Just because spell check says everything is spelled right doesn't mean there aren't double words, words out of place, wrong forms of words, and absence of punctuation. Sorry Kae Elle Wheeler, some special attention should be paid to the editing next time.

1.0 su 5 stelle PLAGIARISM!!! 21 giugno 2013

This book was interesting. It is definitely a different take on a classic tale. The thing that bothered me the most was the author used lyrics from Rogers and Hammersteins Cinderella. The movie was a made for television musical from 1997. The chances of someone recognizing any part of the movie in this book seem pretty slim. Unfortunately for the author, that movie was one of my favorites as a kid. I cannot fathom why the author would steal someone else's work when clearly they are creative enough to come up with an original twist to Cinderella. I would NOT recommend purely because of the fact that she is making a profit off of someone else's work.
