1.0 su 5 stelle disinformation and indoctrination 16 settembre 2013
Di doug - Pubblicato su Amazon.com
Formato:Copertina flessibile
This book gives a breif synopsis onf our bill of rights. This is quoting how they explain the 2nd ammendment. "The people have a right to bare arms in a state militia."
This goes against every supreme court decision on the meaning of the second ammendment. As the first line of the 2nd is actually a preamble. Popular in writings of that time. This book has very little real history inside. Its mostly just a progessive indoctrination peice...

1.0 su 5 stelle REVISIONIST HISTORY - war is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength 16 settembre 2013
Di Akasha - Pubblicato su Amazon.com
Formato:Copertina flessibile
At the very least, the bill of rights is completely revised, so if you read this, as your source of information, you have no idea what the ORIGINAL Bill of Rights states.

Is this an accident? Probably not. Have you read 1984?

That this kind of book is allowed to be published is a crime. The author is a traitor to the Constitution.

1.0 su 5 stelle Page 102 - Bill of rights "summary" is wrong. 17 settembre 2013
Di A.B. - Pubblicato su Amazon.com
Formato:Copertina flessibile
The attempt to summarize the bill of right completely changes the intent of the language used. Here are the first two:

Constitution First Amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; of the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Book Summary First Amendment: Congress may make no laws that infringe a citizen's right to freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition. Congress may not favor one religion over another (separation of church and state).

Constitution Second Amendment: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Book Summary Second Amendment: The people have the right to keep and bear arms in a state militia.

The constitution is not something that should be summarized. It is a law, not some mission statement.

1.0 su 5 stelle Paraphrased and misinterpreted Bill of Rights 17 settembre 2013
Di Charlie - Pubblicato su Amazon.com
Formato:Copertina flessibile
No AP text should paraphrase a hinge pin of American history like the Bill of Rights. Furthermore, a misinterpretation of the second amendment that defies all legal proceedings that reference it is nothing short of revisionism. We don't need revisionist texts being distributed to our children any more than we need crystal meth. Any book publisher capable of distributing a text like this does not deserve your business.

1.0 su 5 stelle This isn't history, it's propaganda 16 settembre 2013
Di information_junkie - Pubblicato su Amazon.com
Formato:Copertina flessibile
***WARNING: DON'T BUY THIS BOOK! It contains so called "history" that is inaccurate and untrue. Please ask that Amazon remove it.***

Amazon needs to remove this untrue, offensive, revisionist tripe from it's inventory. The authors are deliberately misinforming, i.e., LYING TO, the readers who will be unfortunate enough to be dumbed down by this carefully contrived piece of propaganda.

On page 102 there is a "summary" of the Bill of Rights. It is not a summary but a list of the alleged first ten amendments and the text is NOT ACCURATE. This is not the United States Constitution Bill of Rights but a wish list by the authors of what they would prefer if they could overturn the Bill of Rights. Here is a photo of page 102:

[...]

And, here, is the ACTUAL text of the REAL Bill of Rights:

[...]

A most deliberate re-writing of the actual amendments text. One needs to question who the authors are and why they are attempting to dis-inform their readers. What is the agenda here? A close examination of what the authors have substituted in place of the authentic text should alarm all students of history and anyone who values their rights.

The title of this book is "United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination". This is neither history nor suitable for any "advanced" placement in anything but ignorance. Even worse, this is being passed off as COLLEGE LEVEL.

The disinfo contained in this book is no accident and the agenda is sinister. There are anti American, anti constitution forces at work in this country and you're looking at the product of two of their minions.

I am requesting that Amazon immediately remove this item and stop offering it for sale.
