This Thriller is the second in Jake Needham's Jack Shepherd series after the LAUNDRY MAN (A Jack Shepherd crime novel), which was a very satisfying read.

We learnt that Jack once was a lawyer in Washington who specializes in global finance and business. He left the U.S.A. and is now teaching business at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. Due to his past, he has accumulated a very colourful group of acquaintances: Thai police and intelligence operatives, foreign agents, obscure businessmen, spies - or - not spies, and also some criminals. Because of this, most people assume that he knows more than he really knows.
