3,0 su 5 stelle Above average 3D shooter with some problems

This is my review of the game, based on installing it and playing it for one hour.

    1) Something must have gone wrong with the pressing of the disc I got.
The text on the back cover of the case is in English. The printed instructional
manual that came with the game is also in English. But the installation program
is in Spanish. Despite this I managed to install the game and luckily all in-game
text and menus are in English. But again, all voices in the game are in Spanish.
Fortunately there are English subtitles so the game is still playable for me.
Somehow it seems Spanish and English language files got mixed up when mastering
    the disc.

    2) The game uses the outdated id Tech 4 engine which was also used in Quake 4 and Doom 3.
For a game released in 2009, the graphics are unimpressive.

    3) There is no anti-aliasing support in the game. Forcing it on via the graphics driver's
control panel does not work and manually editing the game's configuration file to enable
anti-aliasing, does not work either. Very disappointing.

    4) The game seems fun and the story is interesting.

Overall I rate it 3 stars out of 5. Could have been much better.

5,0 su 5 stelle Better than expected!

I bought this title thinking it would be at least as good as Return to Castle Wolefenstein - how wrong i was! The new Wolfenstein it much better and it runs happily on my mid-range pc...ok its a 2009 release but so many releases these days expect you to have bundles of cash going spare to afford the latest cpu and gpu. Good old Activision have done wonders - an immersive storline that keeps you on the move with fantastic weapons that are for the most part accurately depicted (MP40, MP43, KAR 98K and Panzerschreck). 10 out of 10.

3,0 su 5 stelle Please!!! Round bales in a WWII shooter game!
Recensito nel Regno Unito il 19 giugno 2013

I really hope some people from id are reading this: the technology to make round bales was invented in the 70s... ergo, there isn't any justification to put round bales in a WWII shooter! (Okay - there are many fantastic things in this game, which doesn't really exist... but not necessarily out of ignorance).
It is like making a game set in ancient Rome and everybody talks on mobile phones... a bit of research can do wonders sometimes.
I also didn't like the boss-enemies, which were just frustrating.
But overall not a bad shooter game.
PS: I really like 'Rage'... it was really this game, which made me curious to try more id products.
