Sinossi

(Suncoast Society series book #51)

[Siren Sensations: Erotic Consensual BDSM Romantic Suspense, M/F, HEA]

When June's twin sister July was murdered at seventeen, only Scrye's love and strength kept June going, even as her world fell apart around her. That very love means she can never reveal to him the dark secrets she harbors surrounding that stormy night.

Or what she did to make things right.

Years before Mark was known as Scrye the rope guy, he'd loved June completely and knew he'd marry her. July's murder shatters June and her family, leaving Mark, only nineteen, to step forward and take charge. Over twenty years of marriage later, he loves June more than ever and knows he'll do whatever it takes to keep protecting his wife.

Especially from things she can never know about.

When her painful past is dredged from a river, June has to face demons from that horrible night that threaten to take everything from her. Can she hold the lies together without her sweet sadist ever learning the horrific truth?

** A Siren Erotic Romance

I have read all the Suncoast Society books. They are well written with characters you get invested in. I have wondered for a while when June and Scyre's story would be told. This book does them justice. I think because the author is personally involved in BDSM, it brings a truth to the books. You don't focus on that as you read, but you accept it as part of the characters lives, each discovering and exploring it as they choose.

5.0 su 5 stelle An exciting book and one that was hard to put down. 13 luglio 2017

Those of us who follow Tymber Dalton's Suncoast Society have been demanding June and Scrye's story for a while now-with the release of Walk Between the Raindrops, we have it and what a story it is!

We have met June in earlier episodes. The tiny gymnastics teacher has been known to terrify men twice her size, but she is a loyal, supportive friend and relies on direction from her husband and Dom, Mark, also known as Skrye.

We've had indications in the past that June is hiding a secret-one the reader can guess, and in this book we find out for sure what she's faced in the past. But we find out because she has to face another moral crisis-shooting someone to protect the school children she's chaperoning. It turns out the man she shot was a video blogger who was just trying to scare the kids -and one of his followers blames June for the death, even though the authorities declare it a righteous shooting. How will she handle the death threats and harassment she faces- and can Skrye live with her choices?
This was a highly emotional story, and it touches on a number of volatile society issues, including concealed carry, unethical vloggers, and other topics. June is an incredibly strong character with some flaws and Scrye is just remarkable- gentle, strong, non-judgmental, and patient. He will do whatever it takes to protect June and make her happy.

This was an exciting book and one that was hard to put down. It had a complex, fascinating plot, great characterizations and suspense. Don't expect a lighthearted romp, although there is some humor, but a thoughtful, book that reflects some of the issues of the times.

5.0 su 5 stelle Book #51/Suncoast Society series. As always, Tymber Dalton has written another thrilling winner! EXPLICIT BDSM SEX! 30 giugno 2017
Di Pam. Stanton - Pubblicato su Amazon.com

As you all undoubtedly know by now, Tymber Dalton is my favorite author, an automatic buy with each new book. Walk Between the Raindrops is the 51st book in the Suncoast Society BDSM series. While every Suncoast Society book is a standalone, you'll understand the characters' backstories much better if you read them in order. That's particularly true with this specific book. There's a listing of the entire series at the beginning of each book.

This is the story of June Jarette (née Corden) and her husband, Mark. We've met both June and Mark (a/k/a Scrye the Guy) in several previous Suncoast Society books but this is the first time we've been told their entire story. June has always been a very in-control, driven person, even though she's Mark's submissive, and more than just in the bedroom. And, despite the fact that Mark is June's Dom, in his everyday life he's calm, laid back and unassuming. He's a CPA for Pete's sake (although he certainly doesn't look like the stereotypical CPA)! Based on the couple's appearances in previous books, we've always gotten just a hint that there's something mysterious in their past that's remained hidden. But, until now, that's all we've gotten, vague impressions, brief, nonspecific glimpses. But things weren't always as they are now. Now, we get the entire story, and it's a story well worth reading!

June and Mark meet while in high school, thanks to June's twin sister, July. Both June and July are top students with 4.0 GPAs. But the truly remarkable thing about both sisters is their incomparable skill in gymnastics. They've been in competition for years. They wanted to try for Nationals, then the Olympics, when they were 13, but their parents said they were too young. Now, four years later, they're on track to actually make that dream come true. But, as with all dreams, there are complications, obstacles in the way. Mark's extremely supportive of both June and July. As an only child, he's basically been adopted by the Corden family. But July's boyfriend, Matt Gorsky, isn't at all happy at July's deep commitment to and involvement in gymnastics. He's just as angry that Mark's so involved in both girls' lives. Mark picks the girls up every day so they can practice at 4:30 a.m. He's always there to support them in their choices. He even starts working at the training facility to learn more about their passion, as well as make a little extra money. Matt certainly isn't willing to be involved in their gymnastics at all, and he's not about to interrupt his life to make sacrifices like Mark does. But that doesn't stop Matt from resenting and hating Mark for being a part of his girlfriend's life.

As the girls proceed through the next year, they nail it at the Nationals. Now they truly have a shot at the Olympics. But finances are extremely tight for their parents. Both work. Neither has the time to take off to accompany two underage teens to the camp required for them to even be considered for the Olympics, nor do the girls' parents have the money for the expenses involved. The twins certainly have the talent, but what are they going to do without a chaperone and the money for the camp? Mark's attending college now, working several jobs, and still taking care of the twins' gymnastic dreams. Mark's and the twins' parents have become fast friends. June and July are just a couple of months into their freshman year at college, and are living in their own duplex not far from school. Paul and Susan Corden trust Mark as if he was their own son. So when Mark volunteers to give the girls the money he's been saving for a new car and even to take a loan from his father against his salary at his part-time job, as well as to chaperone them, both sets of parents agree. It's the girls' dream come true. If they can catch the attention of the coaches at the camp, they're a sure bet to make it to the Olympics. It seems their dreams finally have a very real chance coming true!

But there's one person who's not happy at these developments. Yes, you guessed it. July's boyfriend, Matt. By now, July has had just about enough of Matt's demanding, overbearing nature. Her parents, June, Mark, nearly everyone in July's life have disliked Matt since they started dating back in high school. July has finally started seeing Matt's true, controlling nature, and she's had enough. Shortly before the camp is set to begin, July makes up her mind to break it off with Matt. June's worried about July's plans. Both girls have classes that Friday but July will finish and return home first. She begs June to let her handle the breakup with Matt her way...and alone. June's not just apprehensive. Matt's shown his controlling, demanding nature before, and she's afraid July will once again allow Matt to sweet talk his way back into her good graces. This isn't the first time July's talked about breaking up with Matt. With their parents out of town, the twins and their older sister, May, are watching their parents' home and cat. Reluctantly, June agrees to gather their laundry and go to their parents' home that night after her classes. July even tells June she would prefer June spend the night at their parents' house, since she'll probably want alone time after the breakup. June leaves home that morning with a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach. It's just not right for July to be alone with Matt, especially when he's so volatile. No, Matt's never physically hurt July in any way but that doesn't make her mind any easier.

From here, Ms. Dalton takes us yet on another amazing, thoroughly engaging story full of mystery, thrills, chills, romance, close calls, every sort of emotion possible. Events throughout the book zigzag from the twins' life before and during the camp prior to the Olympic tryouts, to the present, and various points in between. It's a dizzying ride, filled with totally unexpected revelations. There's joy, pain, love, fear, grief, compassion, uncontrollable rage, forgiveness, but there's also so much more. June's and Mark's lives change in so many ways and go in directions they could never have foreseen. There are deep and hidden secrets that could potentially destroy and change multiple persons' lives forever. This isn't your ordinary, simple BDSM romance story (not that any of Ms. Dalton's novels are ordinary in any way). This is a combination mystery/thriller/BDSM romance that will not just hold your attention but will have you completely riveted to the story from beginning to end!

In my opinion, Walk Between the Raindrops is the second best of Tymber Dalton's Suncoast Society books. (For me, The Reluctant Dom, book 4 in the series, will always be the ultimate story in this series.) But the story of how June and Mark initially meet, become a couple, deal with incredible challenges, and build their lives together, despite obstacles that few could overcome, is a poignant, emotionally-driven story filled with love, desolation, joy, life-altering despair, and so much more. As previously noted, there are mystery, thriller, BDSM, and romance elements included throughout the book. All of Ms. Dalton's long-time readers have been waiting for June's and Scrye's story and now that we have it, it's nothing short of a masterpiece! Thank you, Tymber Dalton, for yet another amazing book in this series!

One final note. This is an ADULT book. It contains adult BDSM themes, explicit language, and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy erotic romance with explicit sexual BDSM scenes then PLEASE carefully think before buying a book you know you won't enjoy. There are always book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads, several Facebook review pages, and every booksellers' website. PLEASE use these resources so you're certain the book you're buying is one you want to read. PLEASE DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. IT'S NOT FAIR TO THE AUTHOR! She works extremely hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to the subject matter before you buy a book, you're doing both yourself and the author an extreme disservice. But if you do enjoy hot, erotic BDSM romances with thrills and chills throughout, I give my highest approval rating to Walk Between the Raindrops. It's one of Tymber Dalton's very best novels, and I give it my highest recommendation without reservation.
