Body by God is a great resource and guide for your life. Whether you are wanting to increase your productivity, eat healthier, exercise more, or decrease stress; Body by God is a wealth of insight for how to accomplish your goals without getting burned out, or giving up.

I found that it inspired me to do better and to make changes in each of the four main areas that I plan to implement now that I've finished the book. Also I learned a lot from this book, how eating foods at different times of the day is better than others, out of all of the health books I've read before, I've never heard this before and when he lays it out it makes perfect sense. Your body needs fruits in the morning to have energy for the day, and it needs proteins in the evening when it is getting ready to rebuild and repair from the strain your body has endured throughout the day.

I can't recommend this enough it is full of lists, tips, charts, and ideas that will inspire you as well. You owe it to yourself to read Body by God! 5 Stars!

Dr Lerner takes what should be common sense about nutrition and shows us how God intended us to eat a certain way. As with most things, man has complicated this until we are now facing diseases on an gigantic scale in the United States. This book changed my thinking first through the simple yet profound explanations of the human body and the way God intended it to be treated. Once my thoughts had changed, so did my energy, health, outlook and I can even go as far as to say enjoyment of life.

the book is ok but relates mostly to the authors life, but does have some valuable information for someone that wants to make changes in their life similar to his. One can find something in this literature to help them make changes.

About half way through this book, a troubling fact dawned on me. Dr. Lerner offers no evidence on the statements he makes. He is a good pitchman for his ideas, but in many regards, it's no different than a typical infomercial. Lots of good sales pitches, no evidence to back it up. That's a shame, because I would like to think he is on to a good approach to a diet that one can follow easy for a lifetime. Certainly what he promotes can't do any harm, but evidence for his conclusions would have been useful. Merely telling the reader what do in in clear and in unambiguous terms is good, but not sufficient. That's a shame.

At the half way point I put this down and have not read further. I would recommend the DASH diet books as better well referenced and certainly Gary Taubes books are well documented and very readable.

Dr Lerner has a system for eating that entails eating different types of food at certain times of the day. He seems to lack focus in separating the different parts of the book. For instance the first part about eating is peppered with Body by God sections. He also likes to abbreviate (Body by God = bbg) I find this distracting as I am trying to remember what the shorthand means and I loose the train of what I am reading. I haven't gotten to the exercise part yet.
