Pro:
Design e finiture di ottimo livello
Finestra in Plexiglass
Sistema di raffreddamento molto curato
Cestelli drive riposizionabili
Fan controller integrato
Slot per HDD/SSD 2,5" SATA
Cassetto nascosto
Maniglia di trasporto
X-Dock
In conclusione a mio modestissimo parere è il miglio case che si possa acquistare e sono convinto che mi farà compagnia per tanti e tanti anni ancora.
Voti:
QUALITA' PREZZO: 9 / 10
QUALITA' COSTRUTTIVA: 10 / 10 (acciaio dappertutto)

Anyhow.. On to the review. The Stryker shipped fast to me, UPS local here is pretty good about not being the box kicking Bitc**s that some people have issues with. So no dents and shipped great.
I was so tired of the 1 1/2 foot tall two and three-bay cases everyone has or sells now. This case is HUGEmongus.. but still so cool. And lots of room means that warm air is vented BEFORE it gets warmer. Lots of room to move your hands around, cable management can be done as good or bad as you feel. We all just get lazy here and there(especially if a mod, or new item is going to be purchased soon) and its addicting to add piece after piece.
Yeah the side window is a tad low, you can see the power supply but who cares. If you light it correctly its going to look very cool and if a low window is a deal breaker it more likely you just cant afford the case and are pzzd about it. So hence being overly picky. I do it too.. but Im realz about stuff so there you go.
The white is just really great looking, dont know why. Paint is great, seems like its power-coated its so nice. Look it up if you dont know what powder coating is.
eSata isnt on the io panel But... eSata can be added, anything can be added really, and if you cant.. well maybe stick to the best buy shelves and let "gomer" help you to the check out line.
OH.. and anyone that hasnt figured out why L.e.d.'s arent turning on..... Ummmm P-O-L-A-R-I-T-Y 180 the connector Scoob.. boom, you will have light.
The front bay covers are nice, fit and finish are awesome. Quick, easy, solid. Just nice.
I took my case covers off just to move the screws out of the paint, and popped the latches, just to flex all the stuff that is suppose to move. Im GOING to be building and rebuilding in this case, thats why we are buying something like this. So screw the screws-in, back them out, and wear the paint off(it acts like glue) I got a feel for how everything comes apart, and goes together and did it before i got all "buck fever" about slapping my MoBo and everything else in.
Its an awesome case,.. get to know it.. have some coffee and laugh about an old girlfriend together in your breakfast nook.. Dont just run to the back room and tatoo-gun the hell out of it like your prom date..
Or just like that night... youll get some rug burn, some "big eyes", a knock on the door asking if "everythings ok?".
The usb 3 cable, the I.o. panel, molex etc,and everything gets real easy to hook up if you just use good-light, and take your time to see how it was put together. This case comes with a box that has WAY enough adapters, and screws, cable-ties too, its really great.
Lots of places to run any wire you need.
The fans are not super top notch, but with it does come with four, and they arent burning out any time soon, NO they arent static pressure ones, but even in the stock config. they look nice, work well and arent loud to my ear. Ill be replacing them im sure some time. But really its a waste for-now. And I run amd 8350 on my asus rog board, and evga 780.
I have one whole bay open above and below each of my drives and the Ssd has so much room I may buy it a mail order bride to tidy up once in awhile. It really does run so cool in there, and that is what Im after. The handle is tough, I carry it out to LAN some and the looks are pretty hilarious.. in a cool way. I can really only say for myself, but my first computer build I used a server case, just because I wanted to mod tiny lights and blinkys even back in the day. I loved how tall it was for no reason other than it was like having my own WOPR. Then cases got all "cute". Yeah I got them, but always missed my monster. Even back then I loved how heat wasnt an issue, and I had room to light it, and work on it, and hell.. just enjoy the hundreds of dollars we put into our hobby/work station/get me through life/wife machine.. (shell kill me if she reads this before i hit send).
Anyway. super solid case guys/girls.. paint is way nice, covers, handle, cables, connectors, Bam!! its just nice to buy somethiung that is actually as nice as it should be given that its a little expensive. Xdock works great, although I feel a little of up/down movement so that you cant just jam the drive in.. you need to take it easy,.. feel" when its connector is starting to seat then it pops in nice. Like the "track" that the ssd slides-in is a bit too wide, so be careful on that.
I really enjoy seeing this sitting next to my monitors, It just says to anyone who sees-it.. "Hey! I really like computers, and not only that.. I really like having functionality as well as looks!".
Im saying to anyone who is looking.. if you like a bigger case than the pink to-to types that are everywhere you will love this case, and the more you light it your way.. and design a system your way, then youll find as I did, that every day I like it even more than the last. And today, its harder and harder to not get buyers remorse.
Just think about what your system is, or will-be, the only thing Id consider is the cases where they have a basement compartment if I did a major water cooling solution. But I didnt. I still-can mind you.. and easily. But some cases are just designed for that. And they are BIG and cool too.
I really enjoy the handle, and everything about it. Its just a well-made case for those of us who live binary lives. Hit up youtube and watch people handle it, and move it around. Youll find out as I did, that once you own it, even the videos fall a little short.
Anyhow, my two cents. Enjoy whatever case you end up with.. but this one is way-cool.
This case is solid; beautifully painted with a thick coat of shiny white paint and steel thickness is about as solid as I have ever seen in any case in this price range ($149.99 on Amazon.com).
The side panels are a bit thinner metal but still seem to be very sturdy and not easily prone to bending or denting. The case overall is very sturdy and even the plastic parts are thicker and more sturdy than you'd expect to see on most cases in this price range; although the HDD bracket slide in holders are somewhat flimsy compared to the rest of the case quality. This case has a large, nicely designed side window that is rounded at the edges giving it a "softer" more elegant yet futuristic look, although I personally would rather not have black colored "rivet" type holders surrounding the edge of the window, preferring white to match the color of the case paint...(but that's just a personal opinion.) The side window is large enough to view your entire build but still covers the HDD stack. Just in front of and next to the side window is a nice size vent that will show your two white finned LED lit fans if you keep them positioned as they come out of the box: on the left side of the HDD stack rack. The right side panel also has a nice mesh vent as well. Speaking of ventilation, there is plenty of it and this case includes three easy to remove top (1) and bottom (2, front and back) dust filter that covers almost the entire length of the case; and two bottom slide out dust filters are easily accessible from the front and back undersides to slide out and clean.
The front control panel is nicely placed with a large lit on/off switch, two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, a nice fan speed/LED-on/off controller switch array and your mic and speaker in/out jacks and power reset button and associated power and HDD activity lights. What impressed me about this set up is that this panel is solid and fits as though it is actually built in to the top panel. Again, a very nice aesthetic design feature.
The business right side end of the case has lots of tie down hooks and plenty of well positioned, rubber grommet covered holes for cable connecting. There is what at first appears to be somewhat less space between the MOBO back plate and the back panel to accommodate the cables, however, notice that the right side panel is designed with a convex pushed out template allowing for plenty of clearance once the side panel is placed back on the case after your build is completed. Alas, no need to worry about a "bulging" bowed out side panel or issues with aligning it to secure back on to the case!
This case is also very well designed and sports impressive outer design features that are functional and pleasing to the eye. One unique feature on a case of this size is the soft, comfortable foam rubber handle on the top for easy lifting and moving. While I don't go to LAN parties, I still love this feature as much for making it much easier to carry out to the kitchen/porch to clean as also for the way the handle actually adds to the unique design of the case. Even though this case is rather heavy at a bit over 30 pounds (empty), the handle seems to be placed in a balanced centered position for even load weight distribution making lifting a less arduous task. The black highlighted, angled venting on top beginning at about the middle of the case and sloping down to the back is a very cool design feature giving the case a very futuristic yet stylish look and feel. In my opinion, the futuristic design elements are done with less flair and more elegance. This is a very thoughtful touch for those of us who prefer exotic yet subdued designs. When my wife comes in a looks at it and says "Wow, that's a really awesome case!" you know that it has passed the "acid" test for design and looks. The power and fan adjustment buttons and lights on top of the case are large, well placed and easy to use. Positioned directly under the top is an SSD slot which I think is a very nice feature design element.
The front black removable/optical drive covers are all easily removable by pushing in the side tabs, and upon closer inspection even have thin specially cut dust filters lined in each separate bay cover. The white angular side rails that butt up against the black removable drive covers give a really nice, sleek look to the front of the case and add a very nice contrast scheme to it.
Another unique feature is the name plate panel on the front bottom of the case. Upon removing this panel by simply pushing in the side tabs you'll find a hidden "black box" secured with two small screws that when removed reveals a nice plastic screw and parts case filled with more than enough screws, ties and a 12 volt MOBO extension cable. Replacing the parts box is a snap and does not require replacing the two small screws as it snaps in place by itself.
To top off how much detail was put into this case are four rounded rubber feet that are lined with a silver strip to add additional visual appeal.
Inside the case reveals just as much attention to detail and quality as the outside. There are two large removable and 90 degree "rotatable" HDD cages that are specifically designed for this case based on CM's long running HDD box cage concept. Four thumb screws hold these in place and once removed you can turn and rotate the cages to your design liking. There are two very nice white LED CM fans that are positioned facing the left side of the case. Again, these can be easily moved to the front or back or sides of the cages. You can mount 9 5.25 drives in this case and/or 8 3.5 inch or 13 2.5 inch drives. There are a lot of possibilities. On the back of the case are a white 120MM exhaust fan, 9 expansion slots allowing for 4 way SLI/CF configurations, a unique cable security slot lock bracket, your typical I\O opening and PSU opening and three water cooling hose ports.
Graphics cards can be as long as 12.7 inches and CPU cooler height can be as much as 7.3 inches...so this is a roomy case, albeit not such a tall or wide case as to be obtrusive in your den or gaming room. There are also four black back plates that hold the cages. These can also be removed and/or moved around and even completely removed to open up the entire front HDD drive end of the case for more air flow space, larger/longer GPU's, etc. There are also holes in the bottom for placement of additional cooling fans should you chose to use them.
The top of the case sports a white non-LED 200mm fan; when removed, you can replace it with two 120MM or two 140MM fans if desired. NOTE; I have seen a couple of other reviews on this case where the user complained that the top was nearly impossible to remove. This is not the case. DO NOT try and force-pull the top off!!! All you need to do is reach under the top metal flange where the plastic top sits and push in the six plastic tabs that hold the top on the case. There are three on each side running from front to back. Simply reach under and press in these six tabs and you'll see the top begin to pop open and then you can easily remove it. I really have no "cons" about this case other than my usual gripe about the poor quality of the user manual. The drawings are hard to read and understand and there is little written explanation for anything. Most any of us who would invest in a case like this would know how to unscrew and rotate the dive cage boxes and how to remove and turn the metal slide rail panels should you want to turn your front fans from the side to the front, etc. So, the poor quality of the user manual almost become a moot point, yet, we seem to see this same issue with all too many cases.
I have owned Cooler Master cases in the past (such as the original Cosmos Sport, etc.) and have always been impressed with their quality and this case extends my positive attitude about CM and their attention to detail and design. Also. I am really quite impressed with all of the nice features this case has to offer for the very reasonable price of $149.99. I have personally seen several cases that are above the $200.00 range and do not come close to the quality, design and features this case has.
My build in this case was a breeze and a very enjoyable and fun experience. The case is quiet even on the highest fan settings and again looks really nice, especially in a low lit or dark room.
I highly recommend this case for anyone that wants a truly well made, well designed gaming case that is pleasing to the eye, functional as is priced in a very affordable, feature rich package.
