They really cushion your blister so the shoe doesn’t rub and the skin of the blister stays in place. 9 times out of 10, the plaster stayed put but sometimes it didn’t. Most of the time, it lasted at least a week, through daily showers, sweaty walking boots and rain.
I did have an issue with them sticking on some parts of my heel but I think that was because of the way that skin folds on my ankle.

I’ll attach a photo for future reference ...

I’ll attach a photo for future reference ...

Well, they came today and I applied them, as instructed, to my heels and to dry skin and made sure they were on securely. I walked around the house and garden in my new boots and kept them on until I was ready for my 10-miler.
At first, I thought, 'hey, they seem to be doing a fine job'. But that didn't last. 2 miles into the walk and the stabbing pain of a blister started. I carried on for another mile, but had to turn back and hobble home the last 3 miles.
If anyone knows the pain of a blister, then you know is was not a pleasant homeward journey. As soon as I got home, I took my boots off and pulled down my sock and you can see by the pic, the plaster had come away and revealed a nasty blister. My boots are breathable and my socks are good walking socks, so my feet were dry. Dampness hadn't dislodged the plaster, it turns out they aren’t as good as they're hyped up to be.
The plasters might be OK for very light use, but for those who walk or hike daily, they're just an overpriced plaster that are on a par with the cheap brand named ones that cost a quarter of the price. I won't be wasting my money on Compeed products again.

- Cheap for what they are.
- Significant Comfort. Spreads force across whole area.
- Immediate relief for blisters.
- Very good adhesion. Does not shift or peel.
- Can be kept on and used for a couple of days.
CONS:
- Only 5 in a pack
These things are amazing. I have two blisters on my foot that are very painful, so much so that its hard to walk. One on the side of my foot just below my big toe and one on the bottom of the heel. I used two of these plasters one for each blister and made sure they were stuck down properly. Immediately it was much easier to walk. Since these plasters have a bit of thickness to them, not only do they protect from friction they also help spread the force throughout the whole plaster so that no one point can take a lot of force.
I just went out for a 5 mile jog and there was minimal pain. Not only did they not come off, they didn't even shift at all. When I went back home and had a shower they still didn't come off, shift or peel. I believe I can keep them on throughout the night and even use them for tomorrows jog.
EDIT: Plasters lasted 4 days. In those 4 days I did two 5 mile jogs and two 6 mile jogs, and an average step count of 15,000 steps per day before the plaster started to peel up, so I took them off.
