Edfier WH500 is by far is only headphone that let me listen to music without reminding me that I was wearing an on-ear headphone. It is very comfortable and it looks really premium and stylish. That blue just blends with any outfit and any interior. It just looks so good. As a photographer, who appreciates the beauty of things, even if this headphone didn't work; I would have simply kept it.
The next thing is, it is easy to put it away. It lays flat and it can be folded. It is a very portable and low-profile.
The promised playtime is 40hours, I have not tested it- but i can say that I have not charged it after the first time and I have been using it for almost a week.
One of the things I hated about the headphone; or annoyed me was how hard it was to get it connected to another device if it is already registered on one device. It won't even show on the second device in that case. So every time I had to switch a device, I had to reset and reregister on the new device.Yeah, that was annoying-really annoying. So I am now using it a dedicated headphones for my iphone. (Update on 15/01/23 : I have managed to figure out connecting to multiple devices(2 actually) after a fair bit of messing around and trying and retrying. But i still feel it shouldn't be that tough, I do have another headphone that seemlessly connect across multiple devices and switch between my phone and laptop)
I checked the Edifier app; but in my opinion it was not really worth any time or effort. Honestly, I would just prefer something that quickly connects and works without much in-device fiddling. So I uninstalled it after the first use.
You DON'T NEED to have the app installed to get it connected or get it working.
About the sound quality- I think it is decent. It is certainly not bad. (I do have some other headphones that are better). But I would still prefer using the Edifier as weight and comfort is big factor for me. What is the point in having a good sound quality if you cannot enjoy it because of the fact that it is painful to wear the headphones.
Any way, that's my two cents. Hope you find it helpful.

I opted for the white variant. The WH500's come packed in a slim branded box. Inside you have the headphones, as USB C for charging and various pieces of information. The headphones are all plastic in construction with soft padding for the band and ear cups. In fact it's remarkably soft. Unlike regular cups these sit on your ears rather than over. The plastic is of a reasonable quality. It's very lightweight but feels durable enough. It just doesn't feel very "premium". The drivers are 30mm. All of the controls are located on the right cup. with power/pairing, volume/skip, mode select, and a USB C jack for charging. Pairing is straightforward and can easily be reset from the controls.
The default sound is biased a little toward the mids. The bass isn't as punchy as I'd like but overall they sound pretty good. I tried a variety of genre's and they coped fine with all of them. To some degree sound will come down to personal preference. Fortunately Edifer Connect is an app that allows you to tweak the EQ and check battery status of your WH500's. With a few tweaks you can certainly tailor it to your preference. There's also a game mode, that reduces latency in the sound. This is useful if you intend to use these for music and gaming. Call quality on bluetooth is reasonable too. I had generally good reports while using them. In terms of battery, I've used a little over 10% of a full charge and got about 3-4hours of listening. The certainly are lightweight as you don't really feel them.....except for the ear cups. I found that the on ear design exerts a little pressure on my ears and I can certainly feel them more than my over ear cups. My wife didn't find the on ear design to be as wearing. She did notice after a while but she definitely felt they were lighter to wear for long periods.
Edifer have done a great job of designing a lightweight stylish set of cans. The sound isn't perfect but you can tweak the EQ in the app. There's a game mode for added versatility and the battery life is good. The plastic doesn't feel as nice as I'd like it too and the on ear design isn't as comfortable as over the ear cups. None of that detracts though from an otherwise attractive package.
