Scansnap S1300I

Dunque, non è wifi, non ci si può mettere una schedina SD, e non funziona se il PC non è acceso. Sono un po' di limitazioni che altri prodotti simili non hanno ma sono anche dovuto al fatto che questo prodotto è ancora vivo nonostante siano passati parecchi anni dalla sua uscita. Se le cose elencate prima non sono un problema per le vostre esigenze (per me non lo sono) è davvero un prodotto valido. Purtroppo non posso dire altrettanto del software, che è vecchio come lo scanner ma che in alcuni casi richiederebbe una piccola revisione, ma tutto sommato, ripeto, dipende dalle esigenze. Io sono (viste le mie) molto soddisfatto. Il prezzo giusto secondo me non dovrebbe superare i 150,00/180,00 euro, ma è una mia percezione. Su Amazon non l'ho mai visto a questo prezzo, io l'ho preso a 239,00.

Completamente soddisfatta dell'acquisto, in precedenza utilizzavo un modello Scansnap compatibile solo con Windows acquistato alcuni anni fa che non mi ha mai creato problemi.
I vantaggi della S1300i sono:
- la compatibilità Mac
- le dimensioni portatili senza nessun compromesso sull'operatività visto che è sempre possibile alimentarla con più pagine per volta
- le applicazioni dedicate con le quali al termine della scansione è possibile scegliere se archiviare il pdf, inviare un allegato mail, salvare l'immagine nella libreria foto e così via
- la portabilità, sta comodamente nello zainetto del portatile e può essere alimentata col cavo USB in dotazione senza portarsi anche l'alimentatore

Per il servizio Amazon ho provato per la prima volta la consegna presso l'ufficio postale, molto comodo per acquisti quando si è in una città diversa dalla propria sede o abitazione.

Ho preso "usato come nuovo" e lo scanner ha scannerizate veramente zero pagine.

Lo scanner funzione bene con il mio mac. Basta installare il software dal CD. Per chi ha un mac senza CD si può scaricare il software dal sito di Fujitsu.

Lo scan va bene. Una volta configurato l'OCR automatico, si crea da solo un PDF cercabile, nel senso: Il PDF contiene il testo del documente, non e' solo una fotografia. Per l'istruzione come si fa si trova su Youtube "How To Batch OCR With The Fujitsu ScanSnap On The Mac".

L'unico cosa che non ha scannerizato e' un scontrino stretto (larghezza forse 4 cm). Scontrini pui largo e altri documenti vanno benissimo.

Avendo giá uno scanner a lastra (indispensabile in caso di scansione di fogli con punti metallici o sgualciti) questo scanner consente di caricare automaticamente più fogli insieme (testati 15 fogli, ovviamente con possibilitá di accodare la scansione). Ottima qualitá dell’hardware e, non guasta, elegante da vedere. Software molto completo, fin troppo elaborato: suggerisco di studiarlo un po’ per settare le impostazioni preferite e velocizzare le attivitá successive. Acquistato a metá prezzo un modello “usato”, arrivato come nuovo nell’imballaggio originale! Soddisfattissimo

Ottimo prodotto. Effettua scansioni di ottima qualità e molto chiare. Buona anche la trasformazione delle scansioni in documenti word. Non ho dato il massimo solo perché a volte la carta si inceppa o vengono caricati due fogli contemporaneamente.

Dimensioni piccoli quindi occupa poco spazio sulla scrivania. Facile da usare. Ottimo per digitizzare ricevute, documenti, biglietti da visita. Diverse opzioni di forma di stampa e di qualità/velocità. Molto più veloce di un stampante con scanner.

le nostre sono per persone con forme di disabilità, e per l'infermeria ci serviva uno scanner per l'archivio informatico della documentazione sanitaria degli Ospiti. Lo scanner S1300i risponde allo scopo, piccolo e facile da usare, veloce e adattabile a gran parte dei formati (dalla ricetta allo scontrino, all'esito di una visita ...). e funziona in fronte/retro in modo automatico. Ottimo prodotto.

Scanner buono, veloce nella scansione a risoluzione bassa (10 pp. f/r in meno di 1 munuto), direi che il rapporto qualità-prezzo è adeguato (non stupefacente)

Compact and portable A4 scanner.

This is a serious piece of kit, substantial in itself and weighty - it should not be confused with the several toy-like hand-held devices sometimes available. It can scan in colour or mono and at various resolutions and has an adjustable paper guide that will allow A4 and smaller (also a little wider).

This is a one-button device; it does not even have a power switch but powers ip when the lid and feed support is opened. There are two power options, via USB or mains adapter and both ultimately plug into the same socket. The scanner is USB 2.0 and does not have a Wi-Fi option. It is auto-feed only and there is no ability to scan a book or magazine page in situ. Its scan path is slightly bent at about 120 degrees and is safe for most documents if not on very thick paper and photographs. The scan head and feed assembly can be released and raised to clear any misfeeds and for cleaning - a kit for which can be purchased.

The machine is simple to operate and will allow up to 10 sheets to be stacked. The paper support needs to be extended one section at a time and the final one lifts and folds out. The single button, blue when ready, is used to start and to stop scanning and most of its functioons are controlled by its software suite which must be installed first (with Windows). Its software is DVD-based and both Mac and PC although the applications may differ from one OS to the other. One of the programs installed is an Updater package and you will probably find that there are updates to be installed.

The software suite is extensive and includes versions of DropBox and Evernote, both of which came as part of my PC's software suite so did not need additional installation. The ScanSnap Manager is its main interface and manager and it allows scanning to various software and locations, including support for several MS Office applications. I was surprised to find thet 'Scan to Email' was not included although it was included in the description a major reason for purchase and in preference to several less expensive alternatives. It is an addable option, as indeed are many others, although few need be used.

Curiously, although the DVD includes a facility to read the various hardware and software manuals, the PDF files appear to be well hidden. However, they were individually saved to my hard drive for ready access whenever needed and more conveniently than having to find and reload the disk. A printed safety guide is included but not the product manual (one of the PDFs) which would have ben more useful.

Although the scanner and its leads could be carried within some laptop cases together with a laptop, some may prefer a separate case. It is a little wider than A4 at about 29cm in width, 8cm high and 10cm deep without its leads so any case would need to be sizeable.

A very usable machine that needs minimal desktop space.

Edit: if you load more than 2 sheets into the ADF you need to place them very lightly, do not push down at all, or it will pull the entire document through.

Fantastic scanner, appalling software

I've wanted this scanner for a while and when it was on sale I swooped in the buy it. It is a beautiful little bit of kit and it does the job I want it to do. However, it took a long time to get it set up. I had major installation problems as my virus checker thought the installation program was malware and had to get a friend to look into it for me. The "manual" even says that you may need to turn off your anti-virus software, which isn't the sort of advice you expect to see from a firm as reputable as Fujitsu.

Then when it finally installed it was easy enough to scan to the computer but took a long time to work out how to scan to Evernote, which is what I bought the scanner for. In the end, I accidentally worked out how to do it. It seems the old software they show you in the adverts has been replaced with a poor alternative that you need a rocket science degree to work out. I'm glad I persevered because it is a great scanner. I like that it can automatically title your scan for you - saves a lot of time. Let the paper-free life commence!

Excellent and compact scanner with good software

I'm used to using Paperport with a larger document scanner that was getting old and creaky. This scanner can be used off USB power (needs 2x ports) or off mains (faster). The document feed is limited to about 20 sheets of average A4 but is very useful in that it will scan small documents such as till receipts successfully. It will also scan business cards if not too stiff.

The bundled software is excellent and can produce several formats including (usefully) searchable PDF allowing copy and paste of text. The default settings are adequate for most things but may need to be tweaked for fainter receipts. It's easy to use and I cannot recommend this machine highly enough if you need either a compact or portable scanner.

I have found only one minor software bug relating to the automatically generated date formatting but that is trivial and does not affect use. The software works with WinXP, 7 and 10 (I have used it with all 3).

Small, well-designed, fast, excellent

This is the third machine of this series that I have purchased, over many years. The first was mislaid (!) The second developed a fault in its power input socket. This one is the latest. It's just as good as older models and the software has been improved in useful ways.

Basically this is a scanner for salesmen on the road who get given loads of A4 printouts. It will run off a USB socket. In his hotel at night, he can just feed in a wodge of 8, press a button, and a PDF, colour or mono, will pop out the far end. You can, of course, scan as many pages as you like; but the feeder only allows 8 to be loaded at a time.

Quality is very good. The software is a little quirky but you quickly learn to create a desktop shortcut to the Scansnap folder where the PDFs appear.

The only thing to dislike is the creeping inflation of the price. Unless I mistake, older versions were below £150. This is 30% more, at £200. At the first price everybody should have one, in a plastic bag in the car boot. At £200? Um... that price has crossed a threshold.

Otherwise it's simply marvellous. I hardly use my flatbed scanner any more.

The output PDFs are not searchable but OCR software is supplied. However I use Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 instead.

Recommended.
