For many years, I have researched and collected signature golf balls and even have a website on the subject. Any time I find new book on signature golf balls I get excited and buy it right away.
This book will be of no value to current collectors and it very well could be a deterrent to prospective collectors interested in researching signature golf balls as a hobby.
The book lists a number of professional golfers and a few stats with very little content pertaining to "The History of Signature Golf Balls." The author has included a number of inaccuracies i.e. Burke did not produce the first "Tommy Armour" golf ball.
His description of Arnold Palmer includes "... is most know for the Arnold Palmer invitational at Bay Hill and the tea and lemonade drink known as "the Arnold Palmer". His nickname was "the King"."
He spent 45 pages on logo golf ball, and devotes an entire page to "Sponge Bob."
