Ti spaventi della presa inglese? Un adattatore costa dai 5 ai 7 euro....e il problema elettrico è risolto (non perchè non sappiamo cambiare una spina, ma così manteniamo la garanzia del prodotto mi raccomando).

Per il resto posso dire, dopo aver approfondito l'argomento online sui siti inglesi e americani, di aver preso il prodotto più adatto a me. E sono FELICEEEEEEE perchè è davvero fantastico!!!!

Punto primo: ci puoi buttare di tutto? NO ma quasi e già che l'umido è ridotto del 90% per me è tanto. ( infatti su internet ti spiegano cosa ci puoi buttare dentro e cosa no)

E' pericoloso? NO non ci sono lame ma martelletti.

E' silenzioso? SI fa meno rumore del minipimer giuste per fare un paragone.

E' facile da montare. Sono pratico di fai da te, ma non avevo mai smontato lo scarico di un lavandino, e posso dire che è na fesseria montarlo. La difficoltà è solo nel modificare i tubi di scarico ( curve, giri, misure) infatti ho perso un sacco di tempo per fare avanti e dietro dal negozio di idraulica e comunque ho usato 2 tubi flessibili che non mi piacciono, quindi consiglio di chiamare un idraulico ( avendo esperienza ti monterebbe tutti i tubi nuovi in max 1 ora di tempo)

Per il prezzo sono stato fortunato credo, o semplicemente ho rischiato e mi è andata bene ( amazon warehouse) perchè era davvero nuovo ma con solo l'imballo rovinato, dentro non mancava nulla!!! Ma già sotto €400,00 è un ottimo prezzo, li vale tutti!!!!

PS, anche io ero un pò scettico e avevo paura di comprarlo.....poi ho pensato: ma se in america è praticamente in tutte le case...un motivo ci sarà.... E infatti c'era il motivo!!!! Comodo, efficiente e funzionale. Però non consiglio di prendere modelli più piccoli, credo non ne varrebbe la pena.

PPS prendete bene le misure sotto il lavello (non è proprio piccolo), il mio mobile per esempio era a cassettoni e non ad ante, il cassetto di sotto sono riuscito a rimetterlo ma quello di sopra, nonostante fosse già a forma di U per contenere i vecchi tubi, devo comunque farlo modificare da un falegname che non ci entra più...Ma sono felice lo stesso..:P

é ormai diventato indispensabile, buttiamo ogni tipo di rifiuto organico, è silenziosissimo.
Prima del 100 avevo l'insinkerator 65, il 100 è molto più silenzioso più potente e trita 2 volte.
Il mio consiglio è di spendere qualcosina in più ma avere un motore più potente che non soffre le grandi tritate, al 65 abbiamo fuso il motore tritando carciofi (tantissimi e tutti insieme, lo ammetto ce le siamo cercata soprattutto per il fatto che il motore oltre a tritare spinge i rifiuti nel tubo e se non gli si dà il tempo di evaquarli si strangola!!!)
Le istruzioni dicono che si possano tritare anche le ossa (ovviamente piccole, non l'osso del proscuitto!!), ci ho provato una volta ma mi sono spaventato dal fracasso =) ma non è successo nulla, le ha spazzolate in un secondo!
L'ho montato da solo (e non sono un idraulico, nemmeno lontanamente) serve solo un po di manualità, ci ho messo pochissimo!

Ottimo tritarifiuti. Ho avuto il modello precedente per 9 anni e le differenze si notano subito.
Questo è leggermente più grande ma si riesce a montare con l'attacco di quello vecchio. Il rumore quando trita è decisamente meno anche se è aumentata l'efficienza.
Inoltre nel nuovo modello il cibo entra nel primo bacino dove c'è la prima lama e poi passa dove c'è una seconda lama. Il cibo che esce è poltiglia. Quindi indicatissimo anche per chi non ha un tubo di scarico dedicato al solo tritarifiuti perché non si rischia di intasare lo scarico.

Silenziosissimo e davvero potente.
La doppia camera fa la differenza, e finalmente gli scarichi non hanno più nessun problema (il modello precedente, 65, periodicamente sminuzzava grossolanamente).
Attenzione alla spina ... arriva con attacco UK, e vi consiglio un adattatore UK-EU. Ho avuto però un problema nella registrazione del prodotto e della garanzia sul sito del produttore ... approfondirò

Consegna puntuale e in buone condizioni.
Istruzioni chiare; l'ho installato personalmente senza grandi difficoltà... occorre però un po' di capacità nel fai da te!
Funziona molto bene, è silenzioso e potente per gli usi domestici.
Consiglio di investire qualche euro in più ed evitare modelli "base" che costano meno ma sono meno performanti e più rumorosi.
Unica pecca la spina inglese; ho risolto con un adattatore.

Grazie a questo gioiellino non abbiamo più umido in casa.
è un investimento abbastanza costoso, e richiede spazio molto spazio sotto il lavello.
Fino ad ora abbiamo riscontrato problemi solo con il rametto dei pomodorini ( lo ha sfilacciato incastrandosi, non permettendo la completa dissipazione, lo abbiamo tolto a mano, per questo motivo siamo reticenti ad inserire foglie come ad esempio quelle di Ananas) Per il resto è perfetto!

This machine is awesome. No I don't work for whoever makes it :)

We've had problems in recent summers with bin collections only two weeks and our council has swapped our main dustbin for a much smaller one. I hear it's happening/happened all over the country.

Due to a crack in the lid of our old bin we had a NIGHTMARE summer last year with flies. I do not apologise for using capitals in the word nightmare since it was really really horrible. Hundreds of flies attracted to the bin in a hot summer with food waste.

So when we remodelled (sorry for the Americanism) our kitchen I convinced my wife to spend this money on a "garbage collector". I watch a lot of DIY videos on YouTube and I've always wondered why we don't use them as much in the UK. I guess the price?

BUT - this device is so worth it at even twice the price. We use it all the time. My wife thinks it's the best present I've ever bought her - which doesn't reflect too well on me I guess :) and to be honest I'm the cook in the house so I think I actually use it the most.

It was a doddle to fit (though I'm pretty a pretty decent plumber by now, but even so it's very easy). And it works so well.

The contents of our main bin is now cut by a massive amount and has NO SMELLS! My wife is a crazy recycler and so she is very good at sorting out plastic and tins and cardboard. So we never have to jump on the bin to get the lid to close and as I say, no smells!!

I think my wife must have said "I looooove the garbage disposer so much!!" about 50 times by now. And with good reason.

Just get one. It's so easy to just chuck all food waste from preparation AND if there is any food left on the plates it makes loading the dishwasher so easy since you just scrape the plate directly in to the sink the stick the plate in the dishwasher. I know it might sound just as easy to scrape the food in to the bin, but you have to empty the bin and it smells. With this device you get rid of any smelly food immediately and no emptying of bin bags!

You can tell I'm a fan. You will be too. The cost IS worth it. You won't regret it.

Bought this so we no longer have to use the totally inadequate food waste bins that the council supply. My only regret is not buying one sooner. IT'S GREAT. Pretty much everything goes down it. The only exception is large bones and rice (I read somewhere not to put rice down it as the rice can swell and block the pipes but I'm sure the Insinkerator would handle it). By large bones I mean something like a bone from a leg of lamb though I suspect, if it was chopped up, it wouldn't be a problem. Chicken carcasses (broken up so they fit through the hole) disappear like magic including the leg bones. The only thing I've had a problem with is some raw fat cut from a steak. Finally had to remove it with some tongs. I've found anything that's a bit 'chewy' like that is best put down with other items like raw veggie trimmings and peelings or some bones or eggshells so I usually just put all the waste into the sink and then put it all down together.

I installed it myself into a half sink. Took about half a day but that included modifying the cabinet as I was about 1 cm short of space, removing all the waste for both sinks and redoing them and making a trip to the local Screwfix to get a part I didn't have. The actual fitting of the Insinkerator into the sink is easy and it's not so heavy that one person can't do it. One thing to note is the waste fitting supplied is designed to attach to a trap; the fitting has the same thread as the waste that would be fitted into the sink which you would normally attach a trap to. It might be a problem if you want to attach a length of pipe to the fitting rather than a trap.

The Insinkerator is quite quiet if running empty but can be a bit noisy when you first put waste into it and can vibrate a bit with some larger items but that's more to do with the flimsy, modern, stainless steel sink (they don't make them like they used to...). I've learnt to clear off the draining board before using it as any vibration will cause items on the draining board to vibrate.

Overall, one of the best purchases I've made for some time. And no more smelly food waste bins.

fantastic piece of kit. Its very quiet in that some times you can even leave it on and forget to turn it off. Easy to fit although I had to modify my main sink overflow as it was too close to the unit but that was more a failure of the sink design. I would definitely recommend this model to anyone.
UPDATE - I have now had this running for 6 months and its been reliable, I would not want to be without it.

Worth paying extra for a model at this level

The previous unit reached the end of its days and after trying without a waste disposal unit for 4 weeks, we decided that we missed it too much. This is an excellent waste disposal unit, much better able to cope with larger pieces of waste than my previous basic model. I fitted this myself with occasional assistance in fitting it to the sink and in fitting it to the holder, but the assistance was because of the awkwardness of the reach and the weight of the unit, not because of the difficulty in doing so. I found it useful to fit about a 1cm slim piece of wood into the spring clip to hold it open whilst fitting it, which could easily be pulled out once the clip was in position. Overall, fitting was easy. The unit is much quieter than the previous basic model and so far has coped easily with everything - banana skins, orange peel fish skin etc. The only additional purchase which was necessary was a Super Stuffer to push waste into the unit, as I'm reluctant to use my fingers, although I realise that they're not in danger. An excellent piece of equipment

I bought this to replace an 8 year old (just) batch feed model which was originally a top of the range model. My old one was not turning off as the magnetic switch has failed. Insinkerator told me that the model was discontinued and they did not have the part. They also told me that they no longer made a batch feed model although they made an adaptor part to convert the newer models. I decided to go for this continuous feed model as l have now had two fail due to this switch. I had to have it fitted and a hole drilled through the worktop for the air switch.
I find that the sink drainer part supplied causes problems for me as l like to use a bowl in my large sized sink. It also traps a lot of stuff and it not therefore very hygienic. I've stowed it away in the cupboard. I don't like the continuous feed as much as the old system because food has to be pushed past the rubber fins whereas the old one was just open once the stopper was removed. Hopefully l will get used to it.
