Another great story about love and faith, and also has the characters from the first book in so you feel like you pick up from before really easily. Keep up the great work lisa, love reading your books.

PLEASE READ THE MCKENNA'S HAVEN SERIES IN ORDER!!!! And don't read the description or reviews for this book until you've finished reading McKenna's Prayer, -the first book. The premise of this book itself is a spoiler. That being said, I SO loved Jace's Healing!!! I really like Jace, despite his stupidity and overall dumb man-ness. He blew it early on, and ended up paying the price for his repeatedly poor choices. But gosh, it's hard to watch him suffer through the consequences he brought upon himself. Personally, I think McKenna's Prayer and Jace's Healing should be required reading for adolescent-aged boys as a what-not-to-do lesson for young men. Lisa Crane really captured that feeling of broken-heartedness as we walked in Jace's shoes for a few miles. She also captured the light at the end of the tunnel; although it took a lot of pain and time to finally get there. I fell in love with Daisy, a fun, funny, klutz you couldn't help but want to hang out with. I saw many of my friends in the varying aspects of her. The consequences of Jace's past come back to haunt her as well, and it was riveting to watch the story unfold. Unfortunately, I can also claim to have seen some of Denise's personality traits in people as well. Denise is not only unlikable, but eerily sick and twisted. She is the embodiment of people who don't have the proper tools to deal with disappointment, and the type of action she chooses to take becomes more and more the norm in a society where it's all about me. Men take note; women really aren't be used, -even when they give you permission.

I finished Mckenna's Prayer this afternoon and just now finished Jace's Healing. I said in my review of book 1 that I hoped book 2 in the series would be as good...and it definitely was.
I think it might be helpful to read this series in order. I am glad I decided to do that. I actually bought book two first, but after reading the reviews decided to go ahead and get book one and read it first. I think that was a good decision. It made book two much more enjoyable knowing the characters and their history together.

Again, I loved the characters and the story certainly held my interest. The only criticism would be the somewhat abrupt ending. I would have liked it better if the ending was drawn out just a little longer. I would have liked to know where the couple would be living and what about Daisy's job she loved so much? Minor issues to be sure, but would have liked those loose ends tied up.

I hope book 3 is about Jesse and Jack....it is a story waiting to be told. I plan to read more of this author in the future. She is a really good writer and the book was edited well with no formatting errors. Highly recommend this series if you like good, clean, adult Christian romance.

First I must say that I liked this book. I love the whole series. The spiritual aspect of this book (redemption and forgiveness) was lovely.
But, this book was my least favorite of the series even though it was good. I didn't connect with the couple as well as the others and I had to question whether Jason ever really loved McKenna to move on so quickly with her best friend. It also saddened me to find out that once Jason knew McKenna was moving on he went back to his old ways with a vengeance (although you don't know that until the next book.) I was sorry to see that he, at least, didn't try to straighten up during the months before her marriage and try and win her back.
PLEASE know this is just me, the hopeless romantic, but it did trouble me because it made me feel as though his love for her must not have been much.
In the end, McKenna chose the right man, the man she deserved and I am good with that. And I also believe that Jason chose the right kind of woman for himself. I was just sad to see all the many years that they had together end. But it was for a good reason and she was a smart cookie to have chosen who she did.

Another great book by Lisa Crane. This is the second in the series and I really liked the way she included McKenna and Sawyer a lot (from Book 1). Jace and Daisy were very good main characters and the storyline was different and really kept me interested. I loved the sexual innuendo between McKenna and Sawyer (who are now married), like when McKenna told Sawyer she would join him in the shower, and when Sawyer told her he wondered if they could find "anything to do" to keep them busy, or something like that. However, Lisa NEVER crosses the line to come anywhere near being sexually explicit or crude. Just kind of reminds me of an old Doris Day movie where things are implied. I love her books and am anxious to read the rest of this series. Highly recommend them all. Also, doesn't contain cursing, or a lot of typos like many books nowadays.
