5.0 su 5 stelle An intriguing story, beautifully drawn and thought-provoking 3 marzo 2015

Formato: Formato Kindle Acquisto verificato
Author, Haidji, writes with a delicate and imaginative touch. The story was elegantly rendered, beautifully drawn, lyrical and yet thought-provoking. Life into Mist unfurls in small acts, at first feeling slight to touch, then building in emotional substance. Into the spaces between the words, the author breathes a pulsating intensity that rolls between the natural and supernatural worlds.

This book with take you on a mesmerizing fantasy journey that will stay with you long after you have turned the last page. A book which has been beautifully written and is ultimately a book you simply can’t put down. I, for one, feel all the richer for having read it. There’s no doubt that this author is uniquely talented and I’ll be looking forward to reading more from her in the future.

5.0 su 5 stelle Haidji creates a vivid landscape and vibrant characters 8 settembre 2015
Di Charity Rowell-Stansbury - Pubblicato su
Formato: Copertina flessibile
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Haidji introduces readers to the place where souls dwell before they are born on earth, and where dreams come from; a place that she calls "the mist."

The mist is a bittersweet place; young souls frolic and play amongst the stars and the sands of time, but with that joy comes the sorrow and pain that comes with realization and separation. While these young souls are together in the mist, they are generally self-involved and do not share meaningful interactions. However, two young souls form a bond; they frolic and develop together until one soul is ready to be born on earth. This soul makes the transition to earth easily with little sorrow, but the other soul's journey is longer; she must continue to follow the path that she is meant to take alone. This path that she must continue on leads her to places full of torment and pain within the mist. While he is born on earth with no memory of her, she feels the separation from him keenly and endures the path that she is on for a chance to join him.

Life into Mist by Haidji is filled with imagery and metaphors, and I liked that there are enough breaks between verses to allow a reader time to reflect upon the metaphors without feeling overwhelmed. This writing style in makes Life into Mist a perfect fit for a group of people to read together as it allows readers to take time to discuss the imagery and metaphors within. I can see myself sitting in a coffee shop with a group of friends and discussing the philosophical and practical implications of the story.

Once again, I am amazed by Haidji's ability to create a vivid landscape and vibrant characters with words. At first glance it may seem that Life into Mist is a flight of fancy; however, if readers take the time to reflect upon the story, they may find that their perceptions of the world around them are altered.

4.0 su 5 stelle Unique Writing Style 7 ottobre 2016
Di A. Rose - Pubblicato su
Formato: Copertina flessibile
Haidji has a unique writing style which will be appreciated and loved by artists and free-thinkers.

She writes in a poetic style of dreams, wishes, flowers, thoughts and emotion. Her imagination is like no other author I have read and find it a breath of fresh air and so relaxing. What is the story about? Well, all is open to interpretation and I'm sure that no two people will get the same out of it. I think, or at least for me, it is loosely about two souls who have been together forever but forget and remember all at the same time. There is a beautiful meeting, melding and blending of the two souls who remember and forget, experience colour, movement and travel a mystical journey together and apart. They are a contradiction of memories and love – they are and they aren't, it's esoteric and cryptic. The male soul, Perth, is born to a human baby but the girl has a more torturous journey and suffers sadness, silence and pain.

A book written not for it's impact as a story, but as a piece of art, a mystical pleasure for adults with more than a touch of imagination. I won this book in a Giveaway.

5.0 su 5 stelle "A Dreamland of Thoughts, Emotions and Life" 13 marzo 2015
Di Nancy L. Silk - Pubblicato su
Formato: Formato Kindle
"Life Into Mist" is a very poetic mystical story which brings to you serenity. There is a place beyond the world of human beings. A place shrouded in mist and silence. A place of souls waiting their turn to travel to Earth as a newborn. This one angel girl is recounting her life as she lived. She watches children in the mist. One boy, Perth, tries to help an old man who has fallen on a beach and leaves the mist to seek his family's help. Then the girl shines as a crystal looking at the stars through the mist as an old woman looks through her window and observes the brightness glowing from the mist. Another tale is about Perth waking one morning in the mist and is looking for the girl angel. He seeks for her over the river, the ocean, and finds her on a riverbank. Dreams are what keeps the soul reflecting paintings of desire and hope. Without dreams, the soul slumbers. Author Haidji has beauty in her writing, making you feel as you are being transported to her mystical world. She opens the reader's mind to the beauty of stars and nature thus giving one the feeling of serenity as her prose sweeps into your mind. A highly recommended reading experience.
