Suono bilanciato ma sterile e privo di corpo

LINDY IEM-75 --- Pur con tutto il rispetto dei recensori, vorrei esprimere delle lamentele di carattere sonico di questi IEM-75. Non c'è dubbio che un buon rodaggio possa contribuire ad un miglioramento del suono nello stemperare l'eventuale asprezza delle frequenze alte, rendere più gradevoli e intellegibili le medie e definire meglio le basse. Detto questo e fattele rodare, fino adesso il risultato sonoro e abbastanza deludente nel senso che la pasta sonora è fragile, timida e spostata molto sugli alti, non sui medio-alti perchè di medi...nemmeno l' ombra. Addirittura ho sentito che questa IEM manchino di frequenze alte, per me ce ne sono pure troppo , ma non è questo il punto. E' la qualità del tutto che manca: le alte mancano di spessore e i medi sono accennati con un decadimento fastidioso come se si nascondessero dietro le frequenze a cavallo degli alti. I bassi, seppur intellegibili, sono sterili e privi di corpo, è come se con il mio orecchio le rincorressi continuamente per cercare un po' di emozione e goduria in più. Insomma se uno cerca il suono cosiddetto bilanciato ma privo di corpo potrebbero anche andare bene.....ma...il suono bilanciato non significa non avere medie frequenze o profondità delle basse . Il suono può essere bilanciato ma deve essere pulito, con bassi estesi, profondi e non pompati o artificiali e le medie calde presenti e trasparenti, mentre le frequenze alte devono avere spessore, devono essere intellegibili e ben distribuite nello spazio. Ecco! Questa IEM non ha nulla di tutto questo....diciamo che il tutto è vagamente accennato, ma non basta.

Il meglio se si adattano al vostro orecchio

Doverosa premessa, recensire un prodotto dove subentrano spesso tante varianti personali è molto difficile, quindi faccio un confronto diretto tra 2 modelli così che vi possiate orientare. I 2 modelli di cui oggi propongo un confronto sono le PIONEER SE CH5T-K e le LINDY IEM-75.
PACKAGING:
- Lindy IEM-75 arrivano in uno scatolino espositore con 3 paia di gommini e sacchetto/custodia similpelle con chiusura stile portaspiccioli. (voto 8).
- PIONEER SE CH5T-K sono alloggiate in uno scatolo espositore con 3 paia di gommini ed un sacchetto. (voto 8).
COSTRUZIONE:
- Lindy IEM-75 materiale di costruzione metallo, snodo "Y" delle cuffie Gomma/metallo, anellino per regolare la distanza delle cuffie in gomma, Jack 3,5 in metallo "dritto" placcato in oro e filo in gomma. (voto 8)
- PIONEER SE CH5T-K materiale di costruzione tutta plastica, presenta un anello per regolare la distanza delle cuffie, un Jack da 3,5 mm placcato in oro di tipo piatto, un microfono con pulsante start e play, un doppio filo in gomma antigroviglio, gommini di serie di qualità migliore (voto 8,5).
ERGONOMIA:
- Lindy IEM-75 sono cuffie dual drive con un drive da 15mm sicché non sono adatte a tutte le orecchie. Le cuffie una volta infilate se si ha l'orecchio giusto sono molto stabili, ma non adatte all'ascolto nel letto con capo sul cuscino. Dopo mesi di utilizzo ho voluto un po’ rivalutare questo aspetto perché durante l’utilizzo quotidiano avendoci fatto l’abitudine si apprezza molto la stabilità di queste cuffie che nonostante il fatto che non siano proprio leggere non cadono mai. (voto 6,5).
- PIONEER SE CH5T-K, anche qui siamo su un paio di cuffie stabili che con i giusti gommini non tendono quasi mai a cadere. Le Pioneer risultano tuttavia più adattabili a tutti i tipi di orecchio rispetto alle Lindy e i gommini forniti di serie sono di qualità superiore (all’interno hanno una costruzione a raggiera che tende a mantenere aperto il cappuccio dei gommini per farlo aderire meglio) (voto 7,5).
QUALITA' AUDIO:
- Lindy IEM-75 queste cuffie hanno un suono un po' particolare quindi mi dilungherò un pochino di più. Il suono nel complesso è ben amalgamato la gamma dinamica nonostante sia meno estesa delle altre (8-20kHz contro 8-45kHz delle altre) presenta un buon palcoscenico con suoni ben definiti e con bassi più presenti e definiti. Provate ad ascoltare, Bass test - Feel The BASS (bass boosted) (cercate su YouTube) o Subwoofer Tests - Deepest Bass ever (sempre su YouTube) con queste cuffiette vi sentirete tremare dentro (hanno 2 driver di cui uno da 15mm). Qui, rispetto alle pioneer quello che manca sono gli alti cristallini e squillanti. (voto 8)
- PIONEER SE CH5T-K, queste cuffie dichiarano una riproduzione di frequenza da 8-45kHz, tuttavia da rilevazione empirica si deduce che qualche cosa non sia proprio così. In modo empirico ho scaricato da youtube un semplice file sonoro che riproduce le frequenze dinamiche in modo crescente da 5 a 200hz ed il risultato è che mentre le Lindy cominciano a suonare dopo 16 secondi le pioneer iniziano a riprodurre i propri bassi dal 25 secondo, quindi le ipotesi sono due o le lindy hanno bassi più estesi di quelli dichiarati o le pioneer ne hanno meno. Per quanto riguarda la riproduzione sonora qui ciò che manca sono un pizzico di bassi, gli alti sono squillanti e le medie ben amalgamate senza buchi o picchi che distorcano. Il palcoscenico è ampio e definito per quello che risulta possibile da delle in ear.In telefonata l’audio sia in ingresso che in uscita risulta molto buono segno che il microfono è di buona qualità.

RAPPORTO QUALITA'/PREZZO:
- Lindy IEM-75 (pagate € 19,95, ora si trovano a € 15,00) voto 8,5
- PIONEER SE CH5T-K (pagate circa 45,00 €) voto 7 (soprattutto a causa della qualità audio)
CONCLUSIONI:
Ritengo che entrambe le cuffie abbiano i propri pregi e difetti, ma in relazione soprattutto al prezzo, le pioneer costano troppo, sono cuffie da € 30 euro massimo giusto perché hanno il microfono sennò varrebbero anche meno. Le Lindy a parte il filo che è gommato e tende ad aggrovigliarsi, sono un altro pianeta se si possiede l’orecchio adatto per quello che costano sono un must, soprattutto ora che sono scese intorno ai € 15,00. Bassi precisi, alti cristallini equalizzati con Neutron danno il meglio di se sul cellulare. Nessuna delle due cuffie ha bassi sovrastanti e artificiosi (d’altra parte le Lindy sono dichiarate cuffie monitor (IEM) mentre le Pioneer (hi-res) quindi suono vero e puro) per cui se vi piace la musica ricca di bassi meglio rivolgersi ad altre cuffie magari più economiche e ricche in tal senso tipo sony EX-15.

Premetto di aver già acquistato vari auricolari nella fascia di prezzo €10-35, perlomeno quelli che nelle varie recensioni in internet e qui su Amazon vengono definiti dei piccoli miracoli in termini di rapporto qualità prezzo (KZ e Liam&Daan su tutti). Tutti prodotti validi, nulla da eccepire. Poi, per caso, mi imbatto in queste Lindy Cromo, il cui design richiama quello delle Piston. Incuriosito, cerco qualche informazione aggiuntiva in rete e scopro che queste in ear, in vendita adesso a circa €15,00, venivano proposte al momento della loro uscita nel mercato a circa €70,00... Decido quindi di acquistarle e mai scelta fu più azzeccata. Al primo impatto non mi stupiscono per il suono (non cattivo ma nulla di straordinario), ma subito mi conquistano per la comodità (per me requisito fondamentale quanto la resa sonora). Non mi danno, anche dopo un ascolto prolungato quel senso di "acqua nelle orecchie" che mi provocano altre in ear. Dopo il dovuto rodaggio (dategli almeno una trentina di ore di lavoro), il loro potenziale sonoro si è palesato. Eccezionale! Rispetto ad altri auricolari (bose compresi), hanno una gamma sonora bilanciata , con bassi presenti, definiti e mai invadenti così come i medi. Forse sono un pò penalizzate le frequenze alte ma nulla di chè, il suono nel suo complesso è godibilissimo e dettagliato il che , associato al loro comfort, fa si che non vorrete più toglierle... Naturalmente, come tutte le in ear, un ruolo fondamentale è ricoperto dai gommini associati (in dotazione ce ne sono tre, di misure diverse e di discreta fattura), nonché dalla qualità della fonte sonora (io uso prevalentemente files flat e player cowon) e sono riuscito con qualche modifica ad applicare i gommini stay here delle Bose Soundsport. Un altro mondo! Che dirvi? Buon ascolto!!!

A mio parere le migliori cuffie in assoluto nella fascia di prezzo dei 30 euro... Ampiezza del suono dinamica e timbrica eccezionali!! Aggiornamento al 11 febbraio 2020. Le cuffie mantengono una qualità e una timbrica eccezionali!!! Parlare al telefonino è una favola e l.interlocutore sente benissimo
Ne ho comprate 5 fino ad ora Mai trovato qualcosa di così eccellente. Entusiasta !!!!

I'm writing this after 1 hours listening straight out of the box with no 'burn' in and after trying various genres of music. They are fantastic value for the reduced price. Presented somewhat extravagantly they arrive with a choice of buds carry pouch and a very useful jack cover (never seen before) to prevent scratching. The sound is totally wholesome with great bass. The high end misses a bit, but, that's actually to my liking. The definition is clear and they particularly like vocals. The stage however is very narrow and takes a little adjustment to hear everything centralised against other (far more expensive ) phones. I found the large buds ideal for me, but they offer little sound isolation at reasonoble level, cranked up volume was fine. I found them comfortable and secure to wear. They did however become rather irritating after an hour, maybe a different budstyles will alleviate this. The cables seem abit light and springy and I don't feel I can roll them into the supplied pouch preferring to safeguard in a spectacle case. All in all these are very worthy phones, far better than anything else you'll get at the price, they are 'flatter' sounding than the brightness I am accustomed to but any new phones take time. A cracking buy and price by far out weighs any criticism. Recommend.

I must admit these for the price took me by surprise, I've not been listen to these long but I know instantly after a few of my own reference tracks whether or not I like a set of earbuds. I like these so much I've just ordered another set for £12.99. I can't get my head around this price, either there old stock which has been discontinued and Amazon are clearing them out for the price, or the price will jack up, whichever I got another set. I looked at one review on YouTube dated 2013 so these buds have been around a while.

These fit my ears perfectly, good seal, good passive noise cancellation and the sound is perfect for me no complaints fully immersive, whether you get a good fit will depend on your own ears and I find these super comfortable. These retailed for £70 odd pounds I think when they originally came out, just the box and presentation is on another level, also these are the only earbuds I don't feel I need to use my amp with as they are plenty loud.

For the price £12.99 your getting something quite special, I'm certainly going to look into other products from this company..

Just as an update which has surprised me even more is you can take phone calls and clear phone calls, but there isn’t a mic I’m aware of either on the cable or anywhere else I can see

For some reason Amazon are knocking the Lindy Cromo’s out for an astonishingly cheap £12.99 when in fact they should retail for around £70.
That’s good news for us the customer!
But...
Are they worth £70?
Sure at £12.99 they’re an absolute steal but if I had indeed paid full price for them I wouldn’t be entirely happy.
A direct competitor for the Cromo at £70 are the 1More Triple Driver earphones.
The Cromo’s don’t come close. They’re not completely embarrassed by the competition from 1More but it is obvious that the Lindy do not offer the same amount of finesse. Sure they’re much louder but power is nothing without control.
The Lindy’s get a little flummoxed at high volume.
There’s no distortion but the dual driver configuration is a little unrefined and doesn’t gel when given the full beans.
Unlike the 1More Triple Drivers the Cromo offer less balance and precision.

If we compare them to a good earphone for around £12.99 they then become strong value for money.
Good recommendations at this price point are the Betron YSM1000’s.
The Lindy Cromo outclass the Betron’s, and so they should.
Good mid price alternatives are TIN HI-FI T2’s and BLON BL-03’s which in my opinion are both better balanced IEM’s and offer a more neutral sound signature that is superior in detail.
Suddenly the Cromo IEM -75’s seem a little long in the tooth. Probably he reason for their price drop.

At £12.99 the Lindy Cromo IEM-75 are a good buy.
The packaging and accessories convey quality.
They sound pretty good too but I fear since their debut IEM technology has come a long way. Nowadays products from KZ, TIN and 1More offer superior or on par sound quality for a lot less than the Cromo original selling price.
At £12.99 you should get them whilst they are still hot!

Can't be bettered for the (heavily discounted) money

I spent a while looking at headphones, I spend most of my day wearing them in an open plan office to shut myself off from everyone else around me. I'm not an audiophile, I don't expect to 'burn-in' a set of headphones, I expect to plug them into my computer, stream music and like what i hear.

These are very good headphones for my needs, buying them at a discounted rate of £12.99 including next day postage with Prime, they're a no-brainer.

Sound quality is similar to over ear cans, to my dullard ears, however they aren't uncomfortable (or hot) to wear for extended periods (4-5 hours straight). They're very light weight and do a remarkably good job of blocking out environmental noise, without leaking sound at even reasonably loud music volume. Not sure if they are metal or chrome plated plastic, I suspect the later but that makes no difference really, they look pretty premium. The 3.5mm jack is tiny (approx 6mm diameter), would be ideal if your phone is 'so' old it still has a headphone socket but sits in a protective case.

Probably the only thing I don't like and its more of an annoyance is the cables are thin, round and rubber coated so they tangle very easily. Not such a big deal for me as they sit on the desk 90% of the time but if the were in and out of your pocket all day it could get frustrating.

I'm happy with them, I tend to get through headphones on a regular basis and at buttons money these are well worth buying.

I've purchased an external sound card as I get the impression they would stand quite a bit of amplification, will see how that works out.

I bought these just as a back-up pair as I prefer over-ear 'phones. I wasn't expecting much for 13 quid but the sound quality is really good. The bass isn't overwhelming and vocals and treble are nice and clear. Don't get me wrong, if you're an audiophile or studio tech you'll probably dismiss these, but for listening to music these give a good performance. They're comfortable to wear as well.
They had retailed a few years back for 70 quid, even at that price I don't think you'd feel robbed but there would be a wider range of alternatives out there at the same price point. At this price they're a bargain!
