In clear and refreshingly candid prose, the author takes you back to the childhood days of wonder. Who in these troubling times wouldn't like to feel more free and comfortable? Alex shows you the way, but you have to let go and follow her. If you –and if you buy this book–you'll be richly rewarded. I've found her techniques creeping into other areas of my life besides walking: gardening, playing with my dogs, listening. I'm not 100% peaceful (yet) but at least I have a plan now.
The concepts of mindful walking may seen simple on the surface, however if you put into practice the recommendations that Alex presents you can go deep. By walking outdoors and reconnecting with nature you can reconnect with self. Ever chapter offers points to ponder to help you reflect and go another step deeper. Alex also offers additional resources to help you in your mindful walk and journey of self reflection. A must buy if you love to walk, love to connect with nature and want to connect with self on a deeper level.
For anyone struggling with their mental wellbeing, this is the easiest and cheapest therapy around and I’d urge you to give it a go!
