Descrizione prodotto

Please note that this is the second book in the series and should not be read prior to reading More Than This.

"For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction."

For every choice you make there are rewards, or there are consequences.
It was my choice to walk away the first time.
And my choice to chase her the second.
But sometimes you don't get a choice,
and all you get are the consequences.

"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength,
while loving someone deeply gives you courage.”

Unless that someone is Logan Matthews.
Because loving him didn't give me the strength to walk away.
It didn't give me the courage to fight for him.
And when it was over, all it gave me was a broken heart.

5 Stars....but WARNING- Cliffhanger.....WARNING- ROLLER COASTER RIDE...WARNING- WE have to wait on the next book. This book mentally wore me out. I'm not kidding. I was so mad at Logan for most of this book. His treatment of Amanda throughout a big portion of the book made me call him an ass. There were times when I revoked the ass card, but then he would do something stupid to earn it back. Logan, such a manwhore, didn't realize what is right in front of him. I know that he blames himself for Amanda's problems, but she tried to tell him time and again that she forgives him. They had the perfect first date. Then Logan just messes up!!! Amanda "hates" Logan for his ignoring her. My favorite quote from the book would be when Logan tells Amanda," You own me, Amanda. All of me.". Too bad Logan must have forgotten that quote. Holy crap, BIG TWIST around 75% of the book. Didn't expect that. The ending sucked...sucked that I am going to have to wait to see how Logan crawls out of this hole that he has dug. Be ready for a book hangover that will leave you saying Hmmmmm.....

3.0 su 5 stelle In Review: More Than Her (More #2) by Jay McLean 26 gennaio 2014

It's really difficult for me to put my thoughts about More Than Her into words. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in the series, More Than This. The main character in this book, Logan, was a likable minor character in the first book. The mysterious "Her" is someone we have met before and I did like the two of them as a couple. (Rest assured, Jake and Mikayla fans, nothing more is going to happen to your favorite couple. Mikayla is not "Her.") But something never quite clicked for me. I think it was because of all the angst. Yes, I love good angst in my books, but sometimes it just gets to be too much. It pains me to say that this was one of those times.

Neither Logan nor "Her" have had easy lives so far. They both brought a ton of baggage into their relationship. They made their fair share of mistakes. But, I really did like them together. Neither of them were perfect, but they worked together well. They were a cute couple. Their feelings were obviously strong and I loved the back-and-forth of their interactions. There were as many charming, funny moments as there were sweet and sexy ones. I cheered on this couple. I wanted them to work, even at the times it looked like it wouldn't work out at all.

I won't say much more because of potential spoilers. But, the book went in a direction I found equal parts unexpected and unwelcome. It just didn't work for me, which was a shame, because up to that point I was dealing with the angst and I was thoroughly wrapped-up in the story of Logan and "Her." The cliffhanger at the end didn't thrill me, but it didn't turn me off either. The last line of the book is absolutely brilliant and it alone makes me incredibly eager to read the third book in this series to see what happens and to see if I can find the magic of the first book again.

5.0 su 5 stelle More Than Loving This Book!!!!! 19 novembre 2013

This book was just so much more than I expected. I really loved More Than This and just could not wait for More Than Her to be released because I love Jay McLean's writing style and because I needed to know more about Logan and his point-of-view of course.
At first, I really thought that Logan was a typical self absorbed frat boy who had a thing for his bestfriend's girl and just partied too much and screwed his way through anything with a decent set of boobs and a short skirt, only to realize that there was so much more to the façade that we all saw in MTT. Logan was complicated with his own set of issues and beliefs that made him so lovable.
Then I got to know about Amanda and she's just so cute and lovable that you cannot help but cheer for Logan when he tries to woo her. Do they end up together or is Logan doomed to be alone? That's the big question.
Jay McLean has a great writing style that just has you on your toes never know if you're gonna cry, laugh, or shoot the bird at your book. I really recommend this book if you haven't read it.....start out with More Than This, then read this one, you'll appreciate the story so much more!

I have been looking forward to this book ever since I read MTT and fell in love with this group of friends. I know I'm an old lady compared to these guys/gals but this is definitely a group of people I would hang out with so hard. Truth!
So if you read MTT then you know at the end that Logan confesses that he thinks he's only been in love once and it basically blows your mind when he hints at who it is. I analyzed this so hard and still wasn't able to figure it out until we finally meet HER in this book.
Well play Jay McLean, well played.
I love her style of writing. She makes you feel everything that the characters are feeling and puts you smack dab in the moment right along with them. The dialogue is hilarious and heart-breaking at times. I can't count how many times I found myself laughing and then things would turn and I would be crying.
Logan is a truly unique character especially when you find out what he's been through in his life. He may be a bit of a man whore but he is also very sweet and caring. I loved the relationship between his father and him, even though at times I thought maybe his dad was a little too much of a friend instead of a parent at times.
In the beginning I was kind of unimpressed with HER reasoning for trying to stay away from Logan when they meet up again by chance. As the story progresses and you learn what she went through during that period of time your heart will break.
Together they are perfect but because of their pasts, obstacles keep getting thrown in their way. It just seems like the world is fighting against them. The book ends in a cliff-hanger, of sorts and trust when I say you will be clamoring to find out what happens next!! I cannot wait for the release of More Than Him later this month!!
If you haven't read this series I highly suggest you do. The writing is awesome, the characters are swoonworthy and frickin hilarious, and the story lines will have you hooked from the beginning straight through to the end.d

This book ripped my heart in two for it to mend it again, and rip it out once more. I absolutely adore this series. Logan was one of the characters from the first book that I wanted more insight to. His banter back and forth with Jake and subsequently Micky made him a pain but lovable. In walks Amanda and everything that she's gone through coupled with everything that Logan went through in his childhood and they were a match from the beginning. Logan goes through so many stages of self-loathing and pitying himself for things outside of his control it makes you feel sorry for him. Amanda on the other hand I don't think really understood the reasons Logan did half of the things he did. It makes you sad to know this perfectly imperfect couple can see past their flaws to know that they should be able to work through all of their problems. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
