Contemporary Romance set in the heart of country music. . .Nashville.

Nineteen-year old CeCe Mackenzie leaves Virginia for Nashville with not much more to her name than a guitar, a Walker Hound named Hank Junior and an old car she'd inherited from her grandma called Gertrude.

But Gertrude ends up on the side of I-40 in flames, and Nashville has never seemed farther away.

Help arrives in the form of two Georgia football players headed for the Nashville dream as well. When Holden Ashford and Thomas Franklin stop to offer CeCe and Hank Junior a ride, fate may just give a nod to serendipity and meant to be.

Nashville - Part Two - Hammer and a Song

CeCe McKenzie grew up dreaming of a life doing what she loves - singing in Nashville. When she and her Hound dog Hank Junior set out to make her dream come true, life takes some twists she hadn't counted on. Like falling for Holden Ashford, a songwriter with a gift. And also a girlfriend. Can a country music star's hunky son help her forget about Holden? Or is that even possible when her heart insists on writing the song?

Reviewers on Part One and Part Two of New Adult Romance Nashville

"Ms. Cooper has written such a beautiful story that gives you hope. It fills you with laughter, sadness, and many other emotions. You feel connected to the characters and really share in their successes and hurt in their failures. I can't wait for the next part to come out. I've really grown attached to the characters and want to see what lies ahead for them. Again...beautiful story." - Amazon Reviewer

"Her car catches fire, 2 smokin' hot guys stop to help. . . .the rest is history." - Amazon Reviewer

"Inglath Cooper made me cry. I cried. I did. This rarely happens when I read but Cooper brought me to tears more than once. This story is so simple and real it is overwhelmingly compelling. Maybe it's just because I'm also struggling artist who loves dogs and irascible men but CeCe was so easy to relate to, to connect with. I definitely want the next book and I want it NOW." - G. Wright - Amazon Reviewer

"This book captured my attention from the very start! The characters are each unique yet seem to fit together. I love each of them, especially Hank. I was reading this on a plane and was so disappointed when I turned the page and realized I was going to have to wait to find out what happens. Excellent! I definitely recommend Nashville!" - Bookishblonde - Amazon Reviewer

"Tissue Alert. The tears are still flowing down my cheeks. Looking forward to laughing and crying my way through Nashville - Part Two." - B. Tobey - Amazon Reviewer

I jerk my head up to see Holden looking down at me with resignation on his face, like he’s finally given in to the idea that they are stuck with me.
“For this minute, it is,” I shoot back.
“Sleeping in a parking garage?”
“Does it look like I’m sleeping?”
“It looks like you’re crying.”
“Since when is that illegal?”
“Get in the truck, CeCe.”
“No,” I say. “I’ll be fine.”
“Oh, you’ve been doing a great job of proving that,” he throws out.
“I didn’t ask you to rescue me!”
“And I sure as heck didn’t volunteer for the job,” he says, opening the door and swinging out.
I pop to my feet, the concrete scratching at my back through my thin cotton shirt.
“Are you coming with us or not?”
“I don’t need your charity, Holden!”
He leans in like a football player aiming a tackle and hefts me over his shoulder. I start kicking and wriggling, but he tightens his hold like I’m a sack of grain. Hank Junior stands there looking up at us, wagging his tail.
I’d like to think Holden is being chivalrous or some such thing. The truth is he’s mad and altogether tired of me messing up his plans.
“When you two get finished with the foreplay, hop on in, and we’ll go get some sleep,” Thomas tosses out the open door.

4.0 su 5 stelle Great story! 7 luglio 2013

Right off I fell in love with the characters in both books. CeCe is a great young gal trying to make her way in the world. She, along with Thomas and Holden, makes the story unfold with a little bit of southern charm. The author uses the country music industry to play this story like a song itself. I also love the caring attitude towards some of the animal characters in the book. As a matter of fact, the author states in an interview, "I've been involved in rescue for the past ten years or so. The loves in my life are dogs who had things about them that made them less adoptable, medical issues or a past that made them fearful of people. I have found that these are the ones I most enjoy helping". This is a plus for me as well. The Nashville books unfold rather quickly (each book is just over 100 pages each), but the story will leave you wanting this story to continue.

4.0 su 5 stelle Story will suck you in like a country song 1 giugno 2013

After finishing this book, which contains parts 1 and 2 of the Nashville series, it struck me that the book reads like a stereotypical country song and that made me giggle. The story is about a young woman who leaves home with not much else other than her guitar to try to live her dream in Nashville. That dream doesn't include becoming famous, just being able to make her living doing what she loves. Along the way things start to go very wrong and she is rescued by 2 men; Holden and Thomas. It seems that it was fate that brought these 3 people together. The story moves at a very fast pace, there are less than 100 pages in the first book and the second isn't much longer. The story keeps moving and you just don't want it to stop...but then it does. The ending of each book leaves you needing more with big unanswered questions. I am very anxious for the 3rd book and really want to know how many there are in all and how long we will have to wait for them, but I could not find that information.

One of the really unique things about this book is that is incorporates the music into the story. Often authors will create playlists to go with their books, but this author created songs that go with it. They are incorporated into the story and you can listen to them online. They are an integral part of the story and make it more special.

The characters will draw you in and you will want to see everything work out for all of them which is almost an impossible situation, so I can't wait to see where this all goes!

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for my review. I loved this set of books. They captured my attention and I couldn't wait to read more. I am waiting anxiously for the next one in the series. The books follow the three main characters - Thomas, Holden and CeCe as they arrive in Nashville together after a disaster with CeCe's car on the road. They are willing to do anything to get a record deal. As life takes them on it's series of twists and turns, you find yourself smiling and crying along with them.

This is it! After reading Inglath Coopers first Nashville novella, I couldn't wait for the second part. Finally, when it looks like CeCe is going to be happy; something happens to destroy that bliss! Want to know why? Get the books and find out. Can't wait for the next one!

I have read a few books by the author now and have to say this is not her best. The grammar is fine, very few errors. The books in this collection should say that they are a serial and you have to purchase them individually or in sets of two. Both of these ended very abruptly, I have to say that I don't think I will be going for the next one to see what happens. This series is heard more for the younger reader, way to much Starbucks and iPhone and app detail to hold my attention or make me care.
