ATTENZIONE! molte recensioni si riferiscono a modelli inferiori.
Il mini HI FI PHILIPS AUDIO M8905/10 si presenta davvero bene esteticamente: la parte centrale in metallo satinato è gradevole e molto elegante (a differenza di altri prodotti concorrenti plasticosi orribili da vedere) cosiccome le casse in legno. Si vede che è solido e costruito con cura. Per quanto riguarda le funzionalità ha tutto ciò che si può desiderare e ben dettagliato nella descrizione (CD, FM, dab, web radio, usb, aux, jack per cuffia, Spotify...).
Passando alla cosa più importante, ovvero la qualità del suono, il mio giudizio è assolutamente positivo. Dalle casse esce un audio potente, pulito e ben definito e anche senza subwoofer separato si hanno dei bassi profondi.
Ascoltare i Cd e la musica ad alta definizione è una vera goduria: si sentono tutti i dettagli stereo e le sfumature e l'esperienza è davvero appagante.
Se non siete tecnici del suono o super audiofili con questo stereo avete tutto ciò che serve con una qualità più che soddisfacente. A questo prezzo (300/350 euro) difficile trovare di meglio.

Philips conferma la sua apicale posizione nella costruzione e approntamento di dispositivi elettronici per il godimento nell'ascolto della riproduzione audio-musicale.

il "sintonizzatore", ben costruito ed esteticamente gradevole, non presenta incertezze nella qualità di ricezione dei diversi segnali, da quelli analogici a quelli digitali, e anche la riproduzione dei Cd audio (nel lettore integrato) sono di prim'ordine (ma non sono compatibili i dvd audio).

L'utilizzo del telecomando, ad ampio spettro, è facile e intuitivo.

La potenza dell'amplificazione (100 watt RMS) e i diffusori acustici, a due vie con bass reflex posteriore, sono convenientemente sovradimensionati per un ambiente di 12-16 mq (dove li ho collocati).

Ad eccezione della mia personale percezione di abbondante profondità di bassi, la riproduzione sonora è ampia e dettagliata, pulita e mai impastata (salvo la mediocrità della fonte sonora) in tutto lo spettro acustico da me percepito.

Un piccolo neo, a mio parere, è l'impossibilità d'impostare manualmente i parametri dell'equalizzatore sonoro (o, quantomeno, non ho capito come fare...);
Sono preimpostati, a scelta, solo quattro parametri di equalizzazione sonora.

In tutti i casi, sono ampiamente soddisfatto dell'acquisto di questo Sistema di mini impianto stereo munito di Bluetooth, di Radio Internet, di FM, di Dab+, di CD e di collegamento Usb, che rappresenta, a mio avviso, il top per la riproduzione, da un unico dispositivo elettronico, di molteplici fonti sonore.

Complimenti a Philips per questa sua ottima realizzazione, con la mia personale raccomandazione di inserire, magari con aggiornamento del firmware, la possibilità di intervento manuale sui parametri di equalizzazione delle bande di frequenza acustiche (da 20 a 20000 Hz), al fine di migliorare, ulteriormente, la dettagliata percezione delle stesse frequenze, potendo limare, nel mio caso, l'abbondanza di quelle basse; grazie.

Comunque ne consiglio senz'altro l'acquisto.

Il sistema micro hifi btb 8000/12 presenta una solidità costruttiva ed una estetica più che buona. Punto di forza la radio dab + che permette di ascoltare la radio in qualità digitale, anche se è necessario posizionare in maniera ottimale l'antenna a filo di cui è fornito per ricevere un maggiore numero di canali digitali. La vecchia Radio FM naturalmente presente, memorizza fino a venti stazioni. Lettore cd (legge anche gli mp3) e presa USB come ulteriori fonti. É presente la presa cuffia, e cosa più importante la presa "audio in" posta sul frontale dell'apparecchio per collegare con filo smartphone o tablet. Naturalmente é possibile collegarli anche via Bluetooth. Nessun problema di pairing riscontrato. Purtroppo ed è qui il motivo delle sole 3 stelle, il micro hifi btb 8000, come da foto allegate, viene venduto con spina americana inutilizzabile in Italia, benché nella brochure allegata (con testo multilingua anche in italiano) sia prevista la spina italiana / europea . É stato così necessario acquistare con perdita di tempo ed ulteriore esborso di denaro un adattatore in un negozio di elettronica, per poterlo collegare alle prese di casa.

Che dire.....il prodotto è validissimo...!!!!! Di hi-fi così ben studiati e validi ne ho visti pochi...UNO! Questo!!!! Sono stato soddisfatto da subito appena l'ho montato e fatto funzionare, il prodotto è molto bello, un design molto fine e funzionale, i materiali come le plastiche del modulo centrale sono di buona qualità bisogna vedere con il passare del tempo se sbiadiscono o mantengono lo stesso aspetto, comunque con il telecomando non devi toccare molto i tasti, lascia un pò a desiderare l'antenna FM che è corta e non svolge bene il suo compito sarebbe stato meglio averla più lunga, i cavi di collegamento delle casse non hanno una sezione molto grossa ma come primo equipaggiamento vanno benissimo, l'antenna DUB non è fornita, per il prezzo che costa questo prodotto avrebbero potuto fornirla nella confezione.
Per il resto se desiderate un prodotto completo e versatile a 360 gradi vi consiglio vivamente di acquistarlo anche se il prezzo di 237,99euro può disincentivare.
La sua potenza, il suono, la possibilità di utilizzarlo con qualsiasi fonte audio esterna tramite cavo audio (non fornito) con presa jack IN frontale, bluetooth, lettore cd che legge copie masterizzate delle nostre compilation preferite, presa usb, presa cuffie frontale...lo rende il top e batte la concorrenza ve lo garantisco!

Nach tagelanger Suche nach einer kleinen eleganten Mini Stereoanlage, die über Funktionen verfügt, wie Bluetooth, Internet Radio, DAB+, UKW, Spotify, CD-Player, das Abspielen über USB-Stick, usw., erschien nach 00:00 Uhr diese Anlage bei AMAZON. Mein erster Gedanke, TOP! -> Ist elegant, im Angebot stehen genau die Daten, die ich suche und dann noch von PHILIPS. Eine Marke aus meiner Kindheit, dass damals immer gute Geräte gebaut hatte.
Also kauf ich es.
Nach Zwei Tagen kam das Gerät bei mir in einer soliden Verpackung an. Meine Freude stieg um so mehr.
Gleich aufgebaut und ran ans testen.

positiv:
- Aussehen elegant und schlicht gehalten (was mir persönlich gut gefallen hat, war die Symetrie)
- guter satter Sound
- qualitativ solide gebaut
- leicht verständliches Menü
- womit sich gute Einstellmöglichkeiten bieten
- Internet-Radio lässt sich sehr einfach Einrichten. TOP!
- DAB richtet sich automatisch mit den verfügbaren Sendern ein. TOP!
- Die Helligkeit des Display's lässt sich auch einfach Einstellen.

negativ:
- Die gebürstete Oberfläche des CD-Schachts, hebt sich etwas ab, da es etwas schief geschlieffen wurde
(kann bei andere Geräten anders sein)
- Bei den Blutooth-Einstellungen findet er meine Bose-Blutooth-Kopfhörer nicht! Wobei es mein Handy und
sogar meinen Desktop-Rechner dafür auf anhieb.
- Wenn man sich vorher eine Musik-CD angehört hatte und die Anlage Aus- und wieder Einschaltet, beginnt die
CD das abspielen von vorn. Er merkt sich also die letzte Position nicht. (das geht garnicht für mich)
Wie ich letztens gemerkt habe, spielt der CD-Player nicht alle Musik-CD's fehlerffrei ab.
Er hakt manchmal oder überspringt das Lied. Die Lesedauer dauert dann auch ungewöhnlich lang.
Da stellt sich die Frage: Wie schlecht das Laufwerk sein muss.
- Das gleiche Positionsspeicherproblem ist leider auch beim abspielen von USB-Sticks
(absolut sinnfrei, da man bei tausenden MP3-Liedern nicht weiter kommt.
Sogar mein Audio-System im Auto merkt sich die Position der abgespielten Songs!
- Genau so, sind angelegte Ordner auf dem Stick nicht zu erkennen. (Auf dem Display steht zwar zum Bsp.
die Information F1. . . . . .Fn für "wahrscheinlich für Folder" - aber um welchen Ordner es sich dabei handelt, ist
nicht zu erkennen.
- Die Datumsanzeige ist aus weiter Entfernung etwas schlecht zu erkennen, da Schrägstriche zur Trennung
benutzt wurden ( 17 / 12 / 2020 ) - besser wäre jeweils ein Punkt ( 17 . 12 . 2020 ) oder Trennlinien
( 17 - 12 - 2020 ) gewesen.
- Zu guter letzt, der Service entspricht nicht meiner Vorstellung von Service, da die sich keines wegs um Fehler,
Mängel, Verbesserungsvorschläge kümmern und einen Fall schnell abschließen wollen, anstatt es zu mit einem
Software- bzw. einen Firmware Update zu lösen.
Nach Anschreiben über eMail, bekam ich die Antwort, ich solle mir die Gebrauchstanweisung herunterladen
und durchlesen.
Nach der 2. eMail bekam ich dann die Antwort, dass Kopfhörer nur an der Front am Kopfhöreranschluss
anzuschließen sei und das betreiben über Blutooth nicht funktioniere.
Die Gebrauchsanweisung hatte ich mir schon vorher durchgelesen und Philips auf Informationsmängel über die
USB-Sticks hingewiesen (Formatierung und max. Größe der USB-Sticks)
Nach reichlichen Test's fand ich heraus, dass nur USB 2.0 Sticks mit FAT32 Formatierung und einer max. Größe
von 32GB funktionieren. (Keine ext. SSD und Festplatten schon mal gar nicht, da die zuviel Strom brauchen)
Mein Fazit:
Schöne Anlage mit satten Sound ohne einem Hang zur Perfektion, aber für den Preis "naja OK"
Jetzt habe ich lange eine Anlage gesucht und nach dem ich sie habe, taucht ein Fehler nach dem anderen auf.
Ich versuche es noch einmal mit dem Service und wenn die mir wieder blöd kommen, versuche die Anlage
wieder los zu werden. Schade.

Here is my review, I will start with the stuff I don't like and finish on the stuff I like. Life at the moment is hard enough, so we need to finish on the positive.
Don't like.
The first thing is the casing, looks like the plastic stuff that will scratch easy and attract dust by the second.
Second is the set-up for the internet connection.
My router needs a password to connect, this password has both upper and lower letters. No-where does the instructions does it tell you how to enter upper case lettering. After 15 minutes of me losing my mind, I found by accident that if you scroll down there they are!
The third is the base, or should I say the lack of it. Even when set to power the base isn't there! I have tried with CD, Pen drive, Internet stations. Only on DAB can you notice it.
Fourthly the Arial is one of the very cheap wire types and not a telescopic type. Sorry Philips, but for the price it a very cheap option by you.
Lastly the station search. Very clunky and you have to be very specific on your search. I took several different searches to find my favourite internet station (soul central radio) and one of the reasons I bought this. 1st search soul, nope. Brought back loads of stations with soul in the name, but not this one. 2nd soulcentral (as it is on their website) again nothing, 3rd soul central and at last there it is. There is an option to search by style, but no soul/r&b option!

Things I like.
Once you have got your head around the Internet connection (see above) it finds thousands of stations. Once you find that you have to tune into the station, before hitting the star button and then store it in your list.
Like the fact, you have 20 favs per wavelength e.g. FM-DAB-Internet.
When you power back on it stays with the last station and volume that you had when turning it off.
Clear reception on DAB and FM, even though the Arial is one of the very cheap wire types and not a telescopic type. Sorry Philips, but for the price it a very cheap option by you.
The screen could be bigger for older people like me but is clear and you can set it to dim or turn off after a set time.
CD table is smooth and doesn't stand out from the overall look of the unit.
The remote is easy to use, but again for the older people could have bigger buttons, the option of moving up and down your presets would be nice, instead of having to remember the number of each station or having to come out the menu.
I have tried several types of cd's (imports etc.) and they have at the time of writing all are OK, except for one copy of vinal to CD copy. No idea why, but luckily have the option of ripping that to pen drive using my laptop.
Pen drive with MP3's play ok, but again clunky in being able to browse to tracks.
All-in-all a good item of kit, but a little overpriced. Went with Philips as the last few items I have had from them has lasted. Time will tell if this is the case with this. If I could mark it out of ten I would give it a solid 8 out of ten.

Lots of features and well built but slightly disappointing sound quality

I bought this to replace a Roberts DAB/CD after the CD player finally failed after 12 years. Things had moved on a bit since then so as well as the CD player I also wanted built in bluetooth as a bare minimum, with things like Spotify Connect and Internet Radio as nice to haves. I was keen to buy another all-in-one micro HiFi and this Philips fitted the bill, looked robust and was from a well known brand.

The Good Stuff
Build quality is solid. Full of features and the menus are intuitive. It all works very well, from initial set up to programming presets on the (three) radios. CD player works well, I like that it has a tray rather than slot. Remote control is well laid out and not a generic handset like a lot of models seem to us. Bluetooth and Spotify Connect work seamlessly. Internet Radio has been a pleasant surprise and the WiFi connection has been solid, which really helps.

The Less Good Stuff
Sound quality is a tad disappointing, especially given the size, power and brand. It's not as warm as the Roberts, which was smaller and less powerful than this. You cannot tweak the sound as much as I hoped - there are some preset EQs (Clear, Powerful, Bright, Balanced...) but no bass and treble settings, which I'd prefer. It can get loud but the sound is tiring if you crank it up. FM sounds so much better than DAB - inevitable given DAB is poor MP2 quality anyway but very noticeable with this radio. The supplied arial is less than useful, a small bit of string you plug into the co-ax plug at the back. A £10 telescopic arial from Amazon sorted that out and strengthened the signal but the radio still doesn't pick up some of the weaker signal stations my Roberts can. And the screen, while clear and bright, is small and hard to read from a distance.

The pandemic and lockdown has meant shopping around for things like this can be much more hit and miss and it is the second time in a year I have bought a radio where the sound quality hasn't been up to expectations (a Robert's clock radio being the other culprit). There are lots of things to like about this Philips - loads of features, connectivity, build quality - but the sound quality is not what I hoped for a £200+ system.

Well built with a quality feel to the unit. Set up isn't to complicated but small info screen doesn't help, a Morse code set up and scrolling screen.thankfull read a review before buying which stated how short the supplied speaker cable was and he wasn't kidding. Unless you want the speaker either side of the unit your in trouble. As for the supplied cable it is very thin and cheap. Also I hope you have a power socket near by as my unit came with a 700mm long power cable. Luckily I had an old two prong cable from a 90's portable stereo which a over metre. Unit has pre set equaliser which settings aren't very different but found one I liked. Can't tell what the FM or DAB radio is like because not even a cheap ring Ariel is supplied.i was genuinely surprised to find they had included batteries for the remote control. Plays all the CDs of different formats I own just fine, but no track info on any of them and if stopped your going back to the beginning. Very 1990s. Internet radio works fine , few times have to double dip on the stations even if last played list. Never used internet radio before but seems very slow between stations. Sound quality is very good, but system seems to be very dated and what is supplied with the unit seems very cheap. Ok for a second unit upstairs but as this was brought as a £200+ wouldn't recommend this as a main stereo.

Very Good Second Hifi

I needed another music source in my sitting room. I’ve used an Echo for the last couple of years and finally got fed up of patchy Wi-Fi dropping the radio mid-Popmaster.I looked at various other systems, and this seemed to tick most boxes for me.

I thought the price was maybe a little higher than it could have been, so used the Warehouse offer for a ‘Used-Like New’ unit as it was twenty quid cheaper. I’m glad I did, in the main. However, the packaging was exactly how I expected (opened previously, bit of damage) but the unit itself was both very dusty and also has marks on the speaker grilles (see photos) that won’t come off. I’m not bothered per Se, but I don’t think this exactly matches the description. That’s down to Amazon, not the product, though.

Setup was, honestly, the easiest ever of any device I’ve introduced to the network. I screwed on the after market aerial that was suggested as bought by others, and inside of 60 seconds, I was connected to my Wi-Fi. I used the WPS button on my Sky router and connection was rapid. It took just a couple of minutes to setup the DAB+ and FM radio, with just another minute or so to get my Spotify connected from my phone, too.

The unit is a nice size, and gives good sound output given it’s proportions. The remote is a good size and shown next to my iPhone 13 Pro Max for reference. Sound goes up really surprisingly loud. I’ve read comments about the volume, but my sitting room is 40m2 with a vaulted ceiling, and this unit fills the area easily. I will say that I feel the Spotify compression really is noticeable and Guns & Roses Appetite For Destruction sounded a little muddy, with reduced headroom. This was especially noticeable on the drumming in Mr Brownstone & My Michelle. With CD and radio this seemed less pronounced. Elton John’s greatest hits disc sounded excellent. The piano came through very well, with a nice soundstage separation.

In summary, this is a very good second room hifi. I don’t have the time or energy to setup a proper multi room resource, nor a music server with wireless speakers everywhere. For me, this unit is right in the sweet spot I wanted. If you need a second system, and find the numerous options a little bewildering, you could do worse than this. For me, internet radio is a bonus and no more, so I haven’t included this as a part of my review. For sub-£200, this is a very passable stereo system. Recommended.
