I can't say enough about the author of this book. I have become a huge fan of Wm Micheal Mott, and his writing and research. With the first book of his that i read, entitiled "Caves,Cauldrons, and Concealed Creatures",it's a no holds barred,no favorites played, total body slam into the unknown, with so many entities and bizarre phenomena exposed, described, and minutely detailed,it stuns the mind. I have no doubt,it will become the standard in Cryptid/paranormal research,in referencing and cataloging all manner of strangeness.
The issue at hand here,is another outstanding work by the same author, called "The Problem of Density in Regaurd to Non-Human Encounters:Moving toward a New Understanding". And yes. Moving it does indeed! Although just a fraction of the massive work contained in "Caves,Cauldrons, and Concealed Creatures",IMO it should be considered just as important. Every so often,an author comes along, and has that certain zing. Kind of like a talent, besides all the others obvious ones involved, that really shines in their writing. I call it "zing",for lack of a better word, maybe a good definition of this is someone who has really put their life, heart and soul into their work, and has that way of making hellishly complicated subjects easier to understand,or contemplate. Mr Mott definitely has this down to an art. Personally,I have studied various category's of the unknown, and other phenomena, and had my mind made up,about quite a few things. Well,I'm happy to say,I wasn't even close,,but thankfully I have read this.and the other work mentioned, and to say these books put things in a totally different light, would be a grand understatement! Mr Mott's topics of study, and the historical references included from many, many sources ,is detailed and explained,in such expertise, its astounding. And yes,,that is a good thing!
I could go on,but I won't,lol. All I can say,is you will not be disappointed,in this,or any other of Wm Michael Mott's books. I have no complaint,,as of now. If I ever did have a complaint,it would be a considerable one. And that complaint would be stated,,if Michael Mott ever quit writing about the never ending panorama of madness that is the unknown.
