È praticamente la fine del mondo mai né visto né ascoltato niente di simile. Solo la RCA trattandosi di "Re" Elvis Presley poteva realizzare un'opera così perfetta sia come cofanetto che come masterizzazione perché ha un' audio che è praticamente perfetto. Ne è valsa veramente la pena aspettare; col prezzo pagato, altroché! Ho in casa un' opera straordinaria a dir poco,e pure a pochissimo prezzo. Altri al al posto di Amazon avrebbero sicuramente chiesto molto, ma... molto di più; perché meno di così è proprio impossibile. Anche perché: il cofanetto che contiene il tutto è un doppio cartone molto sostenuto uno dentro l'altro come sicurezza per i cd numerati singolarmente. Una raccolta davvero da 100 stelle. Complimenti. Grazie 1000.

I'm an Elvis fan of almost 50 years standing, so there was nothing - not one single second of music - in this box that was new to me. I strongly suspect that I am not alone in that respect, so why would anybody like me buy buy it all over again? Well, if you can figure that out then please email me, because I'll be damned if I know the answer. What I do know is that if you're a music lover and you can get this set for around £2 a disc - and it does come up occasionally at that price - then it is the bargain of the century. Some of the best - and some of the worst - music you'll ever hear is contained in this box, and all in truly excellent sound.

The best albums are not just the early ones, as some would have you believe. You can hear genius from the start to the end, and speaking as somebody who knows all this stuff inside out I have to confess that I can get enjoyment from even the 'worst' records. Soundtrack albums which are regularly tossed away for being inconsequential dross will raise a smile every time I hear them, and it's worth spending some time and actually listening to things more than once before discarding them. You know? Like we used to in the old days, before the phrase, "Have you heard this?" meant something other than, "Have you streamed it and written it off after the first thirty seconds of track one?"

The box is sturdy, the book (yes, a real book) is well written, and all the albums come in replica card sleeves. There was a lot of debate among fans at the time this came out, about how authentic these should be. Should the discs have stuck to the original running order exactly, or was it acceptable (as is the case) that bonus tracks should be added to the albums? You'll have to decide where you stand on that, but personally I'm happy the way it is. It's 2019 as I write this, and my laptop/CD player/MP3 player all give me the ability to shuffle/stop/edit the tracks to my hearts content. I'm more than capable of pressing "skip" or "stop" if I don't want to hear certain tracks.

I've seen box sets by some artists that have cost five times as much as this, and which have contained a fraction of the amount of music. If you don't mind paying out more for less, or if the thought of owning fake backstage passes and assorted memorabilia is too much to resist, feel free. But good luck listening to a laminate. I'll stick with the back catalogue of the most important rock voice of the 20th Century, thank you very much. Or should I say, "Thangyewverruhmuch."

I have given this 5 stars as it is a fantastic box set containing the majority of Elvis' recordings though it does have some flaws. For me I would have preferred to have had the missing Camden releases rather than the 3 discs of rarities which seem out of place in this box set as it is a bo set consisting of Elvis' released albums. The so called rarities are just not rare enough to have been included and have been available to fans for years. I have no issue with songs such as Sispicious Minds, Dont Cry Daddy or Kentucky Rsin emerging on From Elvis In Memphis as they were recorded in those sessions and fit in perfectly.
Ultimately it would have been great to have Seperate Ways the Camden release within the set as well as Sun Sessions but some songs would have been replicated which Sony Legacy no doubt wished to avoid.
If you want to complete your collection or perhaps start your Elvis collection this is a great set to buy. The sound quality it pretty good on most CDs but a couple still lack in quality.

What can a 62 year old lifelong Elvis fan say of this set.Well I will tell you.Everyone in the world should own this album collection.I know this wont happen.Not even every Elvis will own it but they should.I fear only hardcore Elvis fans will buy as it is very pricey.However it has the lot and I don't mean every album released in his lifetime as we have now found out there are some strange ommisions.But it does contain just about all the songs Elvis recorded.I am not hardcore enough to go through looking for any missing.All the single hits,gospel,Christmas,movies live shows.All here.This represents the greatest body of work in the musical universe.Any sub standard material by Elvis's standards is of course provided by the mid 60s movies but even here there is gold to be found.One has only to look at Follow That Dream,Return To Sender,Viva Las Vegas,Bossanova Baby,You Don't Me,King Of The Whole Wide World,Little Egypt,and Girls Girls Girls.All movie songs but all solid gold performances.It just cannot be overstated how important this collection is.The sound is brilliant and the book is lovely and informative.It really is the only collection anyone would really need to represent the greatest vocalist the world has ever known or will know.

Pretty much every song elvis recorded in his lifetime ..all completely remastered, sounding fab ..
A in depth 300 page hardback book
Completely over the moon with this collection
Highly recommended
Also .if you are new to the kings music I would suggest also buying elvis presley the searcher dvd for an in depth look at the impact this man had on 20th century culture

Oh my goodness, what can I say? It's Elvis so obviously it's fantastic. But it's more than that. I have no adequate words to describe the magnificence of this collection. Every fan should buy it. There are also several tracks that rarely appear on other albums. It's beautiful beyond words.
