      Ich war auf der Suche nach einem geschlossenen Gaming-Headset zum Streamen und verfiel aus irgend einem Grund auf dieses Ding hier. Habe wohl versehentlich den Hype mit "Markenqualität" verwechselt.
      - Ich meine mich sehr genau zu erinnern, im Angebot eine Abbildung des Anschlusses über die an PCs üblichen zwei 3,5mm Klinkenstecker gesehen zu haben. Aktuell ist kein solches Foto zu sehen. Die Anschlüsse scheinen auf Spielkonsolen optimiert zu sein. es ist ein 2,5mm Klinkenkabel dabei, das in den Regler am USB-Interface kommt - was daran angeschlossen wird, ist unklar. Dann ein 3,5mm Stereo-Klinkenkabel zur Verbindung dieses Reglers mit dem Headset. UInd eben dieser Regler, mit einem unsäglichen langen, steifen und sperrigen USB-Kabel, aus dem irgendwo auch noch zwei super dünne fest angeschlossene Cinch-Kabel abzweigen. Wider erwarten kamen beim Anschluss per USB tatsächlich Töne raus, der Treiber scheint soweit nominal zu funktionieren.
      - Aber gerade bei einem digitalen Anschluss ist das unfassbar laute Rauschen natürlich komplett unverzeihlich. Wenn sogar ich das überhaupt noch hören kann, in meinem Alter, mit garantiert nicht mehr taufrischem Gehör, dann ist es wirklich übel.
      - Die Aussparungen der Muscheln sind so klein, dass sie selbst auf meinen eher winzigen Öhrchen aufliegen.
      - Die Klangcharakteristik versucht nicht einmal, so etwas wie Linearität auch nur vorzutäuschen. Bombastisch überbetonte Bässe. Soll ja Leuten gefallen - ich will damit ausschließlich "World of Warships" spielen und finde es dafür komplett unerträglich. Regeln kann man nichts, nur zwischen zwei Charakteristiken umschalten (zu bassig und VIEL zu bassig). Auch der Treiber umfasst keinen Equalizer oder so was.
      Also wieder umgetauscht.

      had a pair for like 3 or 4 years, they got old and started getting a bit quiet, so I bought another pair, no regrets. Great headphonestuff (my friend used the old pair and they work fine)

      Had them for about a month and the right ear snapped off. I called customer service and told them that it broke just putting it on. No service for abuse of product. It is what is.... So I asked about just a new slide arm to replace the broken one. The rep said they don't sell parts and that he said the same problem with his and he was also trying to find parts. My 12 year old son has the XL12. Beats them puts them on our dogs and they are doing just fine. Stay away from the skullcandy slyr cheap product and no customer service for cheap plastic.

      I have owned this headset for about a year now and overall I am happy with them.

      Pros: They sound pretty good, or at least they do to my ear. The headset is comfortable; I have had no problems wearing it for long periods of time. They went with memory foam instead of pleather for the ear cups which I prefer. The mic can be tucked back into the headset meaning less clutter and a more streamlined look. They seem sturdy enough, though they mostly just sit on my desk. Overall I think they have decent sound for a headset in this price range, nothing amazing but still a good overall listening experience for music and games.

      Cons: depending on what you are plugging this into the wiring may be a bit of a mess. Because it can be hooked up to nearly everything under the sun (PC, phone, tablet, Xbox, PlayStation etc.) it comes with supplementary cables that you may not need, and can add some clutter to the space around it. I wish they had made all the cables modular but that would have added to the price. The microphone is average at best, why I can be heard clearly from the other side my voice sounds a bit muffled over the mic. The inline controller is not my favorite feature it would have been better if they put multiple different buttons on the control instead of having one button do everything. The ear cups as near as I can tell are not user removable; this is by far my biggest annoyance because it makes cleaning the headset a bit of a hassle.
      Overall you could do a lot worse for the price. If you are looking for something solely for music listening in this price range I would recommend the Audio-Technica ATH-M30 or M30x for about the same price. But if you are like me and like the convenience that a headset offers (I hate dealing with mod mics, adapter cables, high impedance and the like) then you could certainly do a lot worse than the Skullcandy Slayer.

      UPDATED! Using RAZER Surround sound software these are better for pc than console.

      Some background I take my gaming seriously, been online gaming for over 17 years so I heard these were good. I had to test them, I just wasn't as impressed as the "audiophiles"...

      Just tried the Skull Candy Slyrs, not bad but definitely not for serious playing.

      These headphones against novice players or Ai is acceptable, but against rushing hip firing ninjas you are in trouble...
      To get all cues I would need to blast the volume so piercing that it effects and fatigues the hearing. Again it doesn't catch a NINJA compared to the Tritton Ax Pro.

      I hooked the slyr's up to my Turtle beach DSS the bass with 7.1 was so over blown you have to decide weather to catch sound cues and go deaf or miss sound cues and save your eardrums but die in the game. Even with the bass set to lowest the sounds and explosions really fatigue your ears to the point I didn't even want to pull the trigger. Lowering the volume you will miss many sound cues let alone catching someone who has Ninja on.

      The inline controller isn't bad but it isn't great either but at $73 you really do get what you pay for. Excellent for music just not excellent for gaming.

      If you want to catch every cue "multiple targets, multiple elevations, rushing at multiple angles" I would suggest looking at something else. Try them out you may like them some of our hearing is more or less sensitive than others I'm just sharing what I experienced. But I always say the same thing experience the product for yourself just not with the DSS it was nauseating..
