A Top 10 Kindle Bestseller from a New York Times Bestselling Author!
A double romance: Sean & Corinna + Griffin & Rachael!

London, 1817: Sean Delaney has no shortage of female admirers, but all he wants is a divorce—for his sister, that is. Too bad her rotter of a husband, reclusive oil painter John Hamilton, won't consent unless Sean agrees to help him pull off a major deception. With his sister's happiness on the line, Sean has no choice. But he won't be able to do it alone...

Though Lady Corinna Chase is more interested in pursuing her art than finding a husband, she can't help but take notice of the handsome Irishman who's moved in next door. When it soon becomes evident that her new neighbor isn't who he says he is, rather than expose him, she finds herself drawn into the hoax. As collaboration grows into admiration, and temptation breeds desire, Corinna faces a difficult choice: Will she abandon her artistic ambitions, or give up the man she's come to love?

Meanwhile, Corinna's brother Griffin is helping their alluring cousin Rachael find her father. Thank goodness they're cousins, because Rachael has made it clear she won't ever marry one. Except...they discover she isn't actually his cousin. Good God, he's really in trouble now...

4.0 su 5 stelle TWO ROMANCES IN ONE BOOK!!! 10 novembre 2014

I like "The Art of Temptation" the 3rd and last of the Chase sisters trilogy. Corinna story was good but not as good as bks 1 &2 her sisters stories. I think I had problems with the story line switching back and forth from Corinna's romance with Sean Delaney and her brother Lord Griffins romance with Rachel. Griffin and Rachel are featured in bks 1 & 2 so you have a pretty good idea of whats going to happen between them. Their wasn't a lot hot romance either. But over all I loved how Rachael's storyline was resolved. I didn't figure it out and I didn't see the plot coming until it was upon. I loved how her real parentage was resolved. It couldn't have been better. Back to Sean he is being black mailed by is brother in law an artist John Hamilton. If Sean doesn't go along with pretending to be him and taking care of his elderly uncle who his dying the Earl Of Lincolnshire; John won't give Deirdre his wife and Sean's sister a much need divorce. John was a true low life and he did get his comeuppance but it should have been harsher. It was nothing the Lord Lincolnshire could do to stop John from inheriting the title. It was the law but he should not have offer half of his untitled estates and money for him to divorce Deirdre This was just a slap on the hand. John was disgraced but it concluded to quickly. I wanted to see him disgraced. I was hoping for away that John wouldn't get the title. I was hoping the unknown uncle who Sean inherit 10,000 pounds from years before.,was really the Earl an he would inherit the title. Leaving John with nothing. I am sorry to see an end to the "Regency Chase Family series". I Highly Recommend you read all 3 books.

4.0 su 5 stelle Good ending to the trilogy 31 dicembre 2013

I made a fundamental mistake with this author because I read the first two books in this trilogy and loved them. I then went back and bought the Flower trilogy, which I truly loathed and it put me off this author. Eventually I finished that series after 1 year and decided to read this last book I had by this author in my TBR folder. I'd forgotten how much I loved this series and I loved this book too. It tells a good story and gives us 2 romances in one. We have the last of the Chase sister's as our h, who is an artist. She meets up with the H, an Irishman, who goes on to impersonate his awful brother-in-law. It's quite a tangled story but it all works out in the end. The second romance is that of Griffin, the only male Chase, who is a Marquess. Through the trilogy we saw his story being told more slowly. He was helping his 'cousin' find out who her real father was. That story is finished in this book.

Overall it was a lovely book with everything about the period being respected, which meant no sex before marriage. There were love scenes but they weren't unnecessarily graphic and didn't go on for pages and pages. This was one of my main issues with the Flower trilogy, where it was way too modern to be historical. Here in this book our Hs were honourable and respectful. This also means that I have now decided that I will read more by this author in the future.

5.0 su 5 stelle A true masterpiece of romance 24 ottobre 2012

I just finished this book and am very sad--not because it had a tragic ending or because I feel bad about anything that happened in the storylines. I'm sad because this is the last of the Temptations Trilogy, and the last of the list of books by Lauren Royal. I wish there were 100 more.

I have loved every single one of this author's novels, but I think this might be my favorite--or at least tied for my favorite with 3 or 4 others. :)

Throughout the stories, the Chase family has been a focal point. What a wonderful, warm family. I feel like I know each an every one of them thanks to the superb job that Ms. Royal does creating them and the worlds they live in.

The last of the Chase sisters to marry, Corinna has always been more interested in her art than in finding a husband, much to her older brother's chagrin. He wants nothing more than to have them all married off, checking that item off his "to-do" list of responsibilities. A chance encounter at a museum with two men, one of which (but she's not sure which one) is a famous artist, starts pulling Corinna's thoughts elsewhere. Then when another chance encounter puts her face to face with her self-designated "Greek God" the inevitable begins to happen.

Sean Delaney is a good man. Responsible, honorable, loyal, and a self-made wealthy businessman. How could anyone resist?

Not me. Heavens, no. Add the fact that he's Irish and speaks with a sensual lilt to his voice, I fell head over heels for him right along with Corinna. Resistance is futile.

I absolutely loved Sean! He was an ideal hero, he didn't just talk about his honor, he proved it by the way he lived. I think he is probably one if the nicest, most honorable heroes I have ever read!

I thought Corinna was a good heroine, but nothing special - she was an artist and unlike her sisters she couldn't cook. Other than that, she really didn't stand out from every other heroine I have read. Maybe if Sean hadn't been so spectacular, Corinna might have seemed better.

Griffin and Rachael - well that has been brewing since book 1 and I can't help feeling a little let down - I wanted more for them - maybe them having a book (or at least novella) of their own - they were both such great characters!

All in all, I really enjoyed this series - I am just sad that now I have read all of Ms Royal's books and I have to hope she will be writing more. Maybe Noah and his sisters???

3.0 su 5 stelle Well written, but I didn't like the plot line as much as the previous book. 29 gennaio 2015

Third in the Regency Chase series. Well written, but I didn't like the plot line as much as the previous book. Sean is blackmailed by his friend into impersonating him at his uncle's deathbed, so that the friend can inherit the earldom. In exchange, he will divorce Sean's sister, so she can marry who she loves. Corrina, who lives next door to the earl, just wants to paint - and winds up painting the earl as he's dying, and meeting & falling in love with Sean. Turns out the earl was up on John's gig and got vengeance at the end.
