oh i enjoyed this! wow!! such a different take to the fallen angels theme.
Sam is 17 turning 18. she shares with Ethan and Lucas who look after her while her dad works away. her father is killed and, quite literally, her life will never be the same again! secrets are discovered and a shocking betrayal leads to a change in Sam, not necessarily a good change. decisions are required, and a good vs evil battle ensues.
the writing is great, especially with the two voices that keep talking to Sam in her head, she isnt sure who is who, but its written in BOLD ot italics, so very quickly the reader can differenciate between the two.
the thing i liked about this, although billed as a YA paranormal, its not written for teenagers, specifically, i feel. there are some refereces to sex and it is quite violent in places (but needed when fighting the Exiled!) however, it would very much appeal to older teenagers(15plus) as well as adults who read paranormal.
the second book is already on my wish list :-)
