Descrizione prodotto

Tharin and Lily find themselves back in Pathen in search of Julia and the key to Eirrell, but old foes and new ones are in close pursuit. Adding to their plight, all doorways to Velesi have been closed.

Forced to discover a way back to their realm, the group finds help from new friends and those who once stood against them are now allies. To make matters worse, a betrayal causes the door to the UnderRealm to open, allowing demons and monsters once imprisoned to roam the realm freely.

Time is of the essence as there are only two Ancients left while Ka grows weaker, struggling to hold the realm together. It is up to Tharin and Lily to find the doorway to Eirrell, call the Unnamed Sidhe and save Velesi.

Journey back to Velesi and join Tharin, Lily, Tolan, Julia, Alorn, Mellis, Ziri and Cessa to save the realm and maybe have a wedding...or two, but then again, it is maybe not.

3.0 su 5 stelle My Confusion Brings All The Boys to The Yard 12 agosto 2013

It is a third book. Like most trilogies, it seems magic number three will charm some and disappoint others. The compelling momentum from the first and second was gone for me in this volume. The writing is not as tight and the epistolary form does not work as well in the events of this novel. There are several spelling errors and words completely out of order in a few places (less than five). The confusion for me, as a reader, sets in when the hurried pace quickly ebbs and flows and not always in a way that does the story justice. Some key and impressive elements that I loved about this world were dismissed with a paragraph here and there which further throws the balance off for me. It feels like the author did not trust themselves or their characters at times and that is unfortunate. For a more cohesive book some revision is in order but as it stands, if you want to quickly get resolution and move on to another series? It will suffice. There are some good moments and a few great exchanges, however, most of it for me was muddled and hurried.

5.0 su 5 stelle The End of the Velesi Trilogy 30 luglio 2013

I loved The Whispering, it was full of action, romance and at the end of the series we had a good ending. Its sad to see and end to the story of Tharin and Lily but it was a good one. The bad ones received their punishment, the prophesy was completed and Cessa got babies. I fell in love with the series since The Binding, Mrs. Filloon took us in an adventure through Velesi, we met and lost wonderful characters, saw very very bad evil ones especially Lily's brother but at the end we had the perfect closing. Loved it and will love to read another story with maybe Alorn, didn't like him being unhappy at the end, he deserves finding love. So, all of it said, I highly recommend the series and know that you will love it too.

5.0 su 5 stelle What can I say? Awesome! 24 agosto 2013

From beginning to end Filloon created a story and a world that was so enticing and inviting that you just kind of got sucked in. I loved this series so much that I'm planning on reading it again from beginning to end and I'm sure that I will be as caught up in the story the second time around as I was the first. Hands down this is one of my favorite trilogies that I have ever read. I hope that this is not the last that we see of Velesi or Pathen.

5.0 su 5 stelle A definite emotional rollercoaster... 2 agosto 2013

So I read both "The binding" and "The Drifting" about mid June 2013, and was overly ecstatic to find out that "The Whispering" would be released late July. So after a few weeks of biting my nails, and daydreaming about my very own Alorn, Ziri & Tharin, the wait was no more... Because the third book had been released! YAYYYYYY!!! So last night I purchased the eBook and prepared myself for a disappointing ending cos, thats happened before (sadface) and proudly finished it at about 9:30 this morning (like I have no responsibilities hehe). BUT... Yes! A MASSIVE GINORMOUS BUT!!! I am overwhelmingly elated to say that I had disappointed my disappointment because "The Whispering" was a gazillion times better than how I had planned out in my head, better than the first 2 books of the series (well, to me anyway! )and oh so, so, so much more.
I found myself about an inch away from my iPad most of the book. I was nervously hungry because the suspense of the storyline made my stomach digest all the Nutri-grain I had eaten super dooper fast, the jokes and puns throughout, had my fat loud mouth boisterously laughing like a typical islander girl in the middle of a shopping centre, and the sad parts had me taking breaks to sob into my pillow and grieve as the characters were so vividly made to portray.
So imagine my depression when I had reached the proper wedding ceremonies and realised I had already read 96% of the book. (*tear) The entire book was executed and delivered brilliantly, but if I could I change any one thing? I would write myself into character and love Alorn with all my imaginative being. He deserved to be happy, and as much as I love Tharin & Lily, I writhe in anguish of the solace and despair Alorn felt, so much so, that he had to leave. *sobbing for a fictional character that I will love and remember for the rest of my life*
I sincerely hope to read more of you writer, and I should also mention the clever names of some the characters, and language that you used. "Jai'loa" reminds me of a cross between the word for love in Indian, cemented by (I'm assuming) another term of endearment from another pacific dialect? Very clever indeed! ;)
I will read the third book again, if only just to "drift" and "whisper" to Alorn... Hehe

4.0 su 5 stelle A fitting conclusion to a great series :) 4 agosto 2013

Imagine my confusion after getting the email that this new book had been released and then finally finishing it to realise that I had not read the second one. In my defence, it has been awhile since I read "The Binding" and as I read so many books these days I just assumed I had read "The Drifting" but I could still follow the story though I was a bit confused in places as I thought I had forgotten some things. Now I will just have to go back and read it because I want to fill in the gaps lol. This seemed like a fitting end to the series, Lilly grew into her powers and seemed to be stronger in this book. She took a stand when she needed to and was slowly relaxing into her relationship with Tharin though it was not without its challenges. They complemented each other yet Lily did not always give in to his caveman attitude but she brought out a softer side of him which was engaging. I did empathise with Alorn and wished he could have gotten his heart's desire but I felt that the author dealt with this development in a way that showed the friendship and loyalty of those concerned. A great support cast of characters and although the battle scene was not as epic as I had hoped for, it was a fitting conclusion to a great series. Hopefully down the track we may get a peek into another story that will pursue Alorn's HEA and a follow up to Julia and Tolan's commitment to each other.
