Sinossi

Developing a daily writing routine has the potential to accelerate a writer's development process, but keeping to such a routine comes with certain challenges. Thankfully, overcoming these challenges is possible and Write Every Day shows you how. This book provides helpful tips for establishing and maintaining a daily writing routine based on the author's personal experience. With a little bit of effort, you too will find the time to Write Every Day.

From Write Every Day:
"How much writing do you think you could get accomplished if you had an entire year to spend on just that and nothing else?
And when you think of that year, don't think of several hours a day. Think of every single minute. That you've got the special ability to not require time to sleep or do anything else at all. You wouldn't get fatigued or burned out.
Think you could write a lot in that year? Then consider this: Anything you spend twenty minutes a day on every day is something that you'll spend more than a year of your life doing.
Increase that to an hour a day and you'll spend a year on that activity over the course of only 24 years. That's the amazing power of doing something every day. The time, bit by bit, adds up to a tremendous opportunity to accomplish things that excite us."

5.0 su 5 stelle Sane, Sustainable Writing Tips 2 settembre 2012
Di Melissa Smith - Pubblicato su Amazon.com

Michael Haynes is one of the nicest writers on the web. His kindness is amply reflected in Write Every Day, a short, pithy book that you can use to design your own daily writing plan. The most notable thing about Write Every Day is that it encourages you to take a rational approach to making a plan that you can reasonably sustain, even on those days when it seems impossible to write.

I had intended to make 2012 a year in which I wrote every day, but I set unrealistic goals at the beginning of the year and soon faltered. After reading Michael's book, I know I've got a better set of tools with which to build a much stronger chain of writing days.

5.0 su 5 stelle Great guide to getting words on paper 27 giugno 2012

Michael's book really does a great job of pointing out the many ways you can become a more productive writer. He doesn't present a system, but a collection of possible systems that will help you accomplish your goals. Then he has a good set of guidelines for evaluating and measuring your progress. You also get bonus material that will help you when you feel stuck and a few great tips for writing when you just don't feel like it. I recommend this guide to any writer looking to get more words on the page.

5.0 su 5 stelle Easy to follow hints that work 23 luglio 2012
Di J. Teal - Pubblicato su Amazon.com

First let me say that if you are on Twitter, and you are a writer or are interested in writing, you should be following Michael Haynes. He is a really nice fellow, low key, congenial, always interested in other writers and provides great information. His two blogs should be on your 'must read' list too.

I was immediately interested in his Hints & Tips Towards a Daily Writing Routine as I know Michael to really walk the talk. When I first started following his blog, it was because he had information to share that was helpful. I'm glad he's formalized and brought together that information to share with everyone.

Michael's idea of a writing chain is unique and yet a really simple tool for writers to use. Actually, all of his tips and hints can be seen as a writing toolbox that will set you up for success in planning for how to incorporate your writing into your everyday life.

I encourage you to read this book. Consider it a manual. You will definitely refer back to it time and time again. I do!

5.0 su 5 stelle Clear, Concise and Motivating! 26 giugno 2012
Di Lee Hallison - Pubblicato su Amazon.com
Formato: Formato Kindle
A very useful book filled with practical suggestions to help create a writing routine. The writing is clear and accessible, and to the point - the author is not repetitive, so the book is a breath of fresh air among other writing books that go on and on saying the same thing. The author is also humble, pointing out that what worked for him may work for the reader - or may trigger an idea for a different way to achieve your personal writing goals. I loved his idea of building flexibility into the daily goals.
I also appreciated the appendixes, bonus material with excellent suggestions and links. Great stuff!

5.0 su 5 stelle Clear, well written guide to writing every day 15 settembre 2012
Di C. A. Berry - Pubblicato su Amazon.com

I received an advance copy of a writing e-book called "Write Every Day" by Michael Haynes. The main idea behind the book is to give hints and strategies that will help you start and keep up a "Seinfeld Chain", IE ensuring that you write every day. I had done this in the past, but I found that once I broke the chain, it was extremely difficult to get back into it. I will be using some of the tips in his book to get my chain going again. The guide is a good read too, and not too expensive, and transferable to other things you might want to do. Michael could possibly branch out and have an "Exercise Every Day" guide too, for example.
