DUE anni, anzi oltre due anni che acquistiamo assieme al mio partner letteralmente di tutto su Amazon.

Mai dovuto scrivere una recensione negativa; su prodotti con centinaia di recensioni positive non ho mai sentito la necessità impellente di sottolineare ancora e ancora quanto fosse buono/valido un prodotto "X" qualsiasi.

Per questo sistema di allarme, mi limiterò a scrivere ne più ne meno quello che ho inviato come commento obbligatorio alla richiesta di reso con rimborso.
Sottolineo che cercando in internet, TUTTI hanno avuto lo stesso problema.

Non è accettabile, NO.

Attenzione hanno chiuso i server mondiali di ismartalarm! Non funziona in tutto il mondo!
Cercate sul profilo FB di Ismartalarm e troverete il comunicato che i server sono fuori servizio da circa 6 giorni!!!
inoltre vari utenti in tutto il mondo dicono che ismartalarm sta chiudendo del tutto!!
assolutamente evitate di acquistare!!! sono pezzi di plastica senza funzione!!!

### Attenzione ###
Dal 25 Gennaio 2021 i servizi iSmartalarm passano per 12 mesi ad un’altra società denominata meShare. il sistema d’allarme ha già perso parecchie delle sue funzione (i sensori di contatto non vanno più) e molto probabilmente tra 12 mesi cesserà di funzionare del tutto

Ormai sono due anni che uso iSmartAlarm, ho preso parte anche ad una beta di uno dei recenti Firmware e mi sono fatto un'idea precisa del prodotto.

Il mio sistema è composto da: Cubo + 7 sensori di contatto + 3 telecamere + 2 Sensori di movimento + 2 telecomandi

Veniamo al sodo, non dovete essere esperti per il montaggio, vi serve il kit base (+ eventuali altri per coprire tutta la casa), una porta Ethernet libera sul vostro router ed un telefonino moderno.
Collegate il cubo alla rete, scaricate l'app iSmartalarm e seguite le istruzioni sull'app; vi bastano 5 minuti per attivare il cubo. Fatto questo, collegate i vari sensori, l'app è in italiano, e spiega passo passo cosa fare, e, nel caso di problemi esiste un servizio d'assistenza europeo (che risponde solo via ticket/email) che vi risponde rapidamente ed in ITALIANO!

Giusto l'altro giorno ho cambiato la prima batteria di un contatto, la porta di ingresso, che viene aperta al giorno una media di 5 volte al giorno.

Caratteristiche salienti:
- facile da montare
- non ha costi di abbonamento
- NON bisogna essere esperti per montarlo o configurarlo
- economico, il prezzo è sceso molto da allora e adesso il kit base costa la metà di quanto lo pagai io
- funziona SOLO se associato ad uno o più smartphone (Android o Apple, NO windows NO Symbian ecc ecc)
- funziona SOLO se avete una rete Internet (fibra o adsl poco importa, è un sistema in cloud con dei server proprietari, non dovete nemmeno mettere mano al router nel 99% dei casi domestici)
- si integra con IFTTT (un servizio gratuito che permette di far comunicare più sistemi intelligenti, utile se volete ricevere la telefonata in caso di allarme!)
- se scatta l'allarme non riceverete una telefonata, ma un'email; potete ricevere telefonata ed SMS se integrate il sistema con il servizio IFTTT

Cosa da tenere in considerazione:

- costa poco e non serve un ingegnere per montarlo e configurarlo, questo è dovuto in gran parte al fatto che notifiche e allarmi passano da un server cloud di proprietà di iSmartAlarm, il che si potrebbe tradurre in un problema nel momento qualcosa online non funzionasse e si vive in totale stato di impotenza. Parlo ovviamente per esperienza diretta, visto che, nel corso di questi due anni, in occasione di un aggiornamento FW, molti Cube sono stati soggetti ad un problema e sono andati "offline" per diversi giorni. Va però detto e ripetuto più volte che problemi di questo tipo sono più unici che rari.

- multiutente, i telecomandi sono utili, ma potete comandarlo a distanza con il telefonino ed aggiungere tutti gli utenti che volete o comandare più cubi contemporaneamente (eh già, ne ho due, uno anche per un amico)

- si integra con IFTTT, un servizio gratuito che vi permette, tra le altre cose di poter: disattivare o attivare l'allarme in particolari condizioni (tipo geolocalizzando gli smartphone), attivare la chiamata in caso di allarme (avviene in VOIP, quindi dovete avere la connessione attiva sul telefono), far suonare sirene esterne o accendere e spegnere luci

- si possono ricevere notifiche anche ad allarme "non attivo" questo vuol dire che riceverete una notifica sul telefonino (se vorrete) nel caso in cui scatti un contatto, senza che il cubo faccia rumore o altro (io lo suo per i garage)

Cosa non piace:

- le telecamere, sicuramente due anni fa avevano un senso, oggi, con concorrenti come YI non più senso comprarle, costano tanto, hanno tempi di collegamento mediamente più lunghi e le Spot+ non hanno rilevazione del rumore e una visione notturna pessima.

Consigli:
- Mettete router e cubo sotto gruppo di continuità, in caso di blackout funzionerà ugualmente per tutta la durata concessa dal gruppo (io ne ho uno piccolino e faccio 30 minuti)
- Valutate l'acquisto di un router che abbia la possibilità di collegare una chiavetta 3g/4g; in questo modo, qualora ci fossero disservizi sulla rete internet di casa, automaticamente avreste un backup, il traffico generato dalle notifiche del cubo si aggira su poche centinaia di KB al giorno.
- Non puntate troppo sulle telecamere, costano tanto e si trova di meglio in giro, viceversa i contatti magnetici sono ottimi affidabili e precisi

Ad oggi posso ritenermi soddisfatto, lo consiglio anche agli amici, ovviamente non è un prodotto esente da difetti con poche espansioni disponibili (ad esempio non esistono componenti da "esterno" e nemmeno il sensore a barriera) ma la qualità sia dell'applicazione che del servizio cloud è indiscusso, le notifiche non tardano mai ad arrivare sono quasi istantanee (compresa l'interfaccia con IFTTT)

Non posso che consigliarlo!

Facile configurazione, in 5 minuti è già attivo e funzionante. È compatibile con ifttt, quindi configurabile con sirene di terze parti, videocamere per registrazioni in cloud, luci philips hue etc.. La sirena è poco udibile ma questo oramai lo sanno tutti.
Aggiornamento Dicembre 2018:
Dopo due anni dall'acquisto non lo usiamo più, le notifiche arrivano ma nessuno sta con il telefono sempre in mano a leggere mail e push, quindi ti perdi per ore la segnalazione. La mancanza di chiamata è una pecca che lo rende inutile. Non lo ricomprerei.

La società che gestiva Ismart Alarm non supporta più il sistema. A partire dal 10/01/21 il sistema viene passato su di un'altra piattaforma Meshare.com che gratuitamente per un 12 mesi lo porterà avanti. Solo che chi deve installarlo per la prima volta è impossibilitato a farlo. Pertanto al momento è un acquisto inutile. Nel futuro non si sa se si potrà e non è detto che si possa .Inoltre è possibile che chi ce l'ha già veda fermarsi il funzionamento dei devices non più supportati.

I bought this system with some trepidation after reading various other reviews and also because there was seemingly very little out there on the web in the way of reviews and comments and, what comment there was weren't exactly glowing in praise. However, I have to say that having just installed a system with 1 x remote siren, 4 x PIR, 2 x Spot+ cameras, 4 sets of door contacts and 2 x key fobs, I'm impressed.
I'm impressed by the quality of all the parts and the packaging comes straight out of the Apple chic style.

There are a couple of negatives, hence the 4 and not 5 stars - these may be showstoppers for you. Firstly there is no external siren available at the time of writing. Personally, it doesn't bother me and I can always stick a dummy siren outside if I wish, just as a deterrent. The second drawback is that SMS notifications and phone calls don't work in the UK yet but push messaging and email alerts do. I receive both just a few seconds after the alarm has been triggered. I have raised a support ticket asking if and when SMS might be coming to our shores and I'll update the review when I get a response.

If, like me, you were scouring the web looking for instructions etc. to read before buying, forget it. There's not a lot of current stuff out there and what is, tends to be quite out of date. There is, however, a lot of good instructions, support and FAQ within the phone app - you can always download this and create an account before you buy although you won't be able to get fully into the ribs of things until you have some devices attached.

Installation was easy, remarkably so, but, here are a few tips which may save you a bit of time and hair-pulling. Once you've got the app installed and registered for an account, the walk-through is pretty slick.

Installing the hub is super-easy. Install the power supply and an ethernet cable (supplied) and scan for the device in the app - it'll find the hub and then guide you through the process. I would say don't install your sensors in-situ, lay them all out on a work surface and remove the battery protection tabs, all of them. Then go to 'devices' in the app and add (using the + symbol). It'll scan for the devices and invite you to add them once finished - a minute or two. Having done this, you can play around with the door sensors, PIRs etc. and see them working. Another top tip - when you add a device it comes up with a name with a series of digits, not that helpful. I suggest naming them sensibly before putting them in-situ and then whilst monitoring the device in the app, take it to the desired location and check that when you separate the contacts or move in the PIR range, the monitor function detects it. If it doesn't, it maybe out of radio range (the system uses the frequency of 868MHz in the UK, different in the US).

People have said the door sensors don't work on UPVC doors. They do, no problem at all but, they are designed for a situation where the door sits flush with the surround whereas, with most European UPVC doors and windows, they sit recessed or proud, sometimes by 12mm or more. Don't fret, just get the magnet and sensor parts as close as possible - the spec says max 3/4 inch separation and I've got one door where the magnet and sensor sit at about 60 degrees to one another and all works fine and reliably.

Some have moaned about the PIRs not being 'corner mountable' well, they're not, as such, but actually, it gives you a lot more flexibility as to where to place them in a room and the ability to cover a greater area rather than sticking them in a corner somewhere. Just my opinion.

Now cameras. I've really struggled with IP-type cameras in the past, despite being very familiar with the tech. These were pretty straightforward if you follow the process. Forst though, when buying you're likely to see the terms 'Spot cameras' and Spot+ I failed to find any difference in spec but basically, the Spot is 720p and the Spot+ is full 1080p and the image quality is outstanding, as is the field of view etc. Back to the install - once your main system has been set up, plug a camera into a power socket and wait a bit, wait a good couple of minutes. I think at this stage it's looking for available wireless networks. Now follow the app for adding the camera. It tells you to hold down a fiddly little button on the base of the unit until you hear a confirmation 'beep'. Now touch the 'tick box and the continue button becomes available so, do it! You're then presented with a QR code on your phone screen which your Spot+ camera needs to be held up to, about 10cm away. You'll get a confirmation when it's read the code correctly. Continue and the rest is really easy just be prepared to wait when it says wait! When I first installed mine, it did a firmware upgrade (as it did on the hub too btw) and you're away. During set up, it will ask you what mode you want, I selected 'home security' I don't know what the other modes do.

It's worth noting that the cameras also work effectively as motion detectors so you may not need a PIR and Camera in the same room?
There loads of flexibility built into the app where you can set the status of each sensor, you can set alarm delay times, siren delay times etc. and even create different modes yourself such as having one where only upstairs sensors are active. Have a play.

Finally, about buying this kit. I would say the best approach is to list all the devices and sensors you need and then look for the cheapest way to buy them. I ended up buying a starter kit, a 2 x camera pack and individual sensors plus an extra key fob and that worked out the best value for me. There are a number of different kits available and I could have paid more by going in a different direction. Do buy from the UK though because US devices are NOT compatible (although cameras probably are).

That's all. Overall very impressed with this stylish, unobtrusive system and even my technophobic partner finds it easy to use (yes you can set up other family members and give them as much or as little access to the system as you like). Just finally - the panic button - I couldn't get it to work but realised you need to double-tap the icon in the app or double-click the button on the keyfob. All good now.

The images attached give an example of the various menu options and also a bit of night vision - the room was in total darkness.

iSmartAlarm funktioniert jetzt anders

Ich benutze die Alarmzentrale sowie die Sensoren und die App von iSmartAlarm seit Mitte 2016 und bin damit sehr zufrieden. Am 26.01.2021 wurde dann die neue Version der App ausgespielt, die jetzt von einem anderen Anbieter (meShare) kommt. Dies erfolgte leider ohne Vorankündigung. Danach musste man sich neu anmelden. Man sollte aufpassen, dass man genau die bisherigen Anmeldedaten nutzt, weil auch alternative Anmeldedaten ohne Fehlermeldung akzeptiert werden. Daher war die neue App zunächst leer. Erst nachdem ich mich mit der Handy-Nummer statt meiner E-Mail-Adresse und dem jeweils gleichen Passwort angemeldet hatte, wurde meine Alarmzentrale erkannt.

Nach einigem Suchen ist es mir dann auch gelungen, die jetzt versteckt erreichbaren Kontrollelemente meiner iSmartAlarm wieder zu finden - man muss dann auf "Monitor" drücken (siehe Screenshot). Dazu muss man mit dem Finger genau zielen, sonst ruft man versehentlich die Event-Anzeige auf. Hat man sich erst einmal an die neue App gewöhnt, funktioniert wieder alles - aber eben in der Logik der neuen App. Der neue Herausgeber der (meShare) hat auch das Cloud-Hosting der Alarmevents übernommen und hat angekündigt, dass Hosting für ein Jahr kostenfrei zu übernehmen. Die iSmartAlarm inc. wird es so nicht mehr geben - laut Ankündigung über einen "Confirm"-Dialog. (siehe Anlage).

An alarm system should work without fail. This alarm system worked perfectly for five months, then stopped sending notifications. After four weeks' correspondence with the US based support (very helpful) they realised that the only way would be to request a replacement. For that I was directed to the European based support. Despite having access to the entire complaint and support history, they have asked me again to carry out the numerous reset operations to see if they can make the system work. I don't have time for that, so will now be looking for ways of having the product returned with a full refund. It's a shame, as it initially worked exactly as I needed.
Update: the newly updated Terms & Conditions of Use, which aim to relieve the manufacturer from any responsibility whatsoever for their (security!) product, demonstrate that this system is just a gadget - a toy, not a serious device. Don't waste your money.

If you require a cheap and cheerful alarm that you want to wake you during the night if someone breaks in, warn you if you child opens the front door and send messages to you while you are away to let you know a burglar is currently robbing your home, then you can’t really go wrong with this unit. Just like my pervious Yale alarm review a few years back, this unit will not deter the professional burglar you see in the movies, but this will deter any random stranger deciding to give your front door a good kicking.
Packaging – As others have suggested, it does arrive in an Apple like box. All was clearly marked and everything I ordered arrived on the same day.
Unit in the box:
Ismart Hub
2 Key fobs
2 door sensors
1 motion sensor
For the price, I couldn’t find any other smart alarm that came anywhere near this price and what was included.
Only issue inside the box is that the door sensor alarm batteries were not covered by a plastic pull slide and therefore one unit had a dead battery and I didn’t trust the other door sensor and so brought 2 brand new batteries to ensure peace of mind. All the other items had the plastic slide covering the connection and so you are confident they had 100% power on arrival.
Extra item ordered:
2x Satellite Sirens at £39 pounds – Another great price for the 2 units (I actually thought I was only ordering 1 unit, but 2 arrived and I checked the order and the price was for 2)
Setting Up:
Very easy, download app via Android and followed instructions.
One tip I would give you all is never fix the alarm units until you are happy the setup is complete and everything is working. Only then start considering where you want everything.
Door sensors came with strong double sticky tabs and I have high hopes they will last. Again, make sure you fit these so that you can change the batteries without having to remove the units again.
Hub has to be connect by a Ethernet cable to your modem, so need to consider this when ordering this kit.
Satellite sirens have back up battery power but need to be connected to the mains and come with a UK plug for this.
Key fobs are good, I’ve not suffered from any issues about the buttons being pressed in my pockets.
Motion sensor is good, tested this out a couple of times and it has picked me up on each occasion trying to sneak past it.
Alarm – The alarm is loud enough to just about wake you but I highly recommend you add the satellite sirens so you can have one in your bedroom or closer to your bedroom to give you that added noise to ensure you are woken immediately. The main hub alarm is loud enough to scare a random person away.
Door Chime – This was a main requirement of mine, having two children at the age where they now want to play outside, I wanted an alarm that will sound on my front and back door. The chime works great. Chime noise comes from hub. You can add the Chime to also sound from the Satellite Sirens – to do this you need to open the app, click monitor, click Safety Monitor, click on Siren, click Settings, then Select Chime. You can also change other settings here including volume and audible countdown.
I have my alarm settings as follows – When leaving the house, 30 seconds count down, when entering the house 30 seconds countdown. This is where I find my only issue with the Alarm. You can choose between Home (door sensors are on, but motion sensor is off) or Away (where everything is armed) but the issue is that on both selections, the 30 second countdown will start, this means the alarm wont fire immediately unless you select Alarm Arming Delay Off – but then this won’t allow you anytime to come in from say a shopping trip. It would be good to have two options available to you here. Nothing major, but could be improved.
App – The app is very easy to use. It alerts me quickly on all my test I have carried out. In fact it alerted me too much as it sends notifications every time the door was opened, so I turned this function off and will only use this when we go away or I’m out in the Garden etc.

The other Alarms I looked into were MyFox and Samsung Smartthings – The reasons I didn’t choose them was due to the following. Myfox, looks great, but I can’t see how the door sensor would ever know the door was closed, it’s a movement sensor so only responds to movement, also the cost was crazy, 3x the amount of this system for half the products in the box. Smartthings, I was very close to buying this unit as I have a Smart home already with Hue lights and Nest. But as the Smartthing didn’t come with a dedicated Alarm Siren, I didn’t like that the only unit available was a non UK product. Just felt this was more of a Smart control system than a dedicated alarm system.

So in conclusion; At a total cost of no more than £140 for all of the items I listed above, I can’t see how I could of purchased anything else for this price that can do a better job. I don’t need my alarm wired into the Police station and I’m pretty confident that no burglar is going to walk past my semi-detached house and decide to cut the power line to break in and steal a toaster. So if you want peace of mind at night, or when relaxing in the bath to ensure you know if anyone has entered your home, then this alarm should do the trick. It also looks cool so that’s an added bonus…unless the burglar decides to take my hub rather than my toaster!

Last point - If you look at the Ismart website, you can see they are introducing new products, so expect to see a dedicated control panel at the end of the year which would be a great add on, so that you don't have to log onto the app or find you key rings with the key fob on when leaving or entering.

Update** new firmware allows you to custom modes. So can have alarm go off immediately by setting up a night mode. Perfect!

Great system had it working for over six months. With camera all around the house. Contact sensors, montion detectors, tags, also some in the workshop/shed. And its been proven to work when triggered in the middle of the night. This is a great system.
When reading through the previous reviews. It makes me think people haven’t set it up properly.
The delay used to be 60 when we first bought the alarm system. Butthe developers listened it can now be changed to several delays including 10 seconds.
There are so many features.
Prople just beed to read through rather than set it up and then moan about it when unsure why its not right.

The only issue i have found is the app can be very glitchy. Can crash, can be a pain!!! Again they have ironed that out alot but time will tell if its fully sorted. Just quickly close it and it works again.

I have accessed this system from many places checked on ghe house. Made sure the pets are ok. Etc all works perfectly overall a brilliant system and have recomended it to several people....
